Horrendous night. I usually find food at City Hotel good, but not tonight. Fish ok but chips cold - send back and fresh chips came which were better. Same fish then arrived - cremated in microwave! Poor, poor, poor. Apologetic waiting staff - thanks Donna, Shelby, and Louise. Chef refused to come and speak to us. His loss - won't be back.

Good vibe, bar is well organised recently refurbished. Good food reasonably priced. Overall good visit

Not stayed here, but have eaten here a few tomes. Currently being refreshed with a nice new reception. Food and service is great with friendly, accomodating staff.

Currently being refurbished. Good food at reasonable prices. Really friendly staff. Great for a family meal. I've been going weekly for 60 years that should tell you all you need to know. l

Gary's karaoke can be a good laugh but a bit samey if you go a few weeks in a row. Limited selection of songs. People mostly seem to have a good time and boogie. Gets really busy. Drinks are quickly removed off the bar by staff if left on the bar for any more than a few minutes. Toilet roll always runs out in the ladies. Only 3 cubicles in the loos.
