Awesome pub away from the temple bar commotion. Great music, chill vibes and nice interior with a 90s rock bar feel. The place even has a street fighter arcade game!

Absolutely great spot, one of the last bars that you're aloud to have fun in without being told you've had enough. Which seems to mean you're barred in recent times. Great sister bar behind it as well to have a last one, called the workman's. Do mention you were at the garage when you arrive and you'll be treated well.
If you like dive bars, this is a great spot to come for when you are out for pints. It's in Temple Bar but a bit out of the centre so it's not as mental as many of the pubs there. It is not that big, just one big room that was formerly a garage, henceforth the name, and it still is decorated like a garage for aesthetic effect. The staff are friendly and as an added bonus they have a Street Fighter II cabinet.

Very unwelcoming to tourist! My friends and I tried to get in and they said locals only. NEVER have I EVER been to a bar that only allowed locals/regulars in. I’ve traveled to different countries and been to different bars and never had this experience. If you want a nice night in Dublin, DON’T come here! They don’t want you or your money.
Very nice bar if you want to sit down with a few friends and relax. Best done on off peak hours, as the place is quit small and can get crowded easily maybe thats what your looking for. I would recommend this bar to friends, and the staff there are very nice.
The place is nice but the security people working at the pub are absolutely rude and incapable to deal with customers. It's been a bad experience that ruined my night. I would not recommend this place if you want to enjoy your evening with your friends in peace
No frills pub that caters for the alternative music lover. Small, but cosy place based in Temple bar that doesn't charge the earth for a beer unlike temple bar prices. Live DJ most nights playing Ska music on Sundays and everything from Northern soul to Indie the rest of the week. Popular place with the Dublin Ska scene and other 'alternative' groups of people all out for a good time. Some Djs still playing vinyl records and are very approachable for requests. Only downside for me is the unisex toilets. No there's not a trough for men and cubicles for women, but 3 cubicles for everyone. Go and soak up the atmosphere for at least one drink, then if you like it..... stay. If not..... Go. Simple as that
Love this bar though the DJ can ruin a good night by playing his buddies tunes. Fantastic cocktails. My favourite is the Long Island Iced Tea but I've never had a bad one from this bar. Its dingy and has sawdust on the floor. The toilets are unisex and leave a lot to be desired but who cares, the atmosphere is great fun there is an old school arcade machine in the corner and for the most part they play some cracking music. There is a small terrace out front for smokers pesky smokers *shakes fist and it makes for some fantastic people watching. Highly recommend this place!
