Just went for the Easter meal with their special menu. As a vegetarian I was pretty shocked to only see one vegetarian main course on the menu, I mean wow. That's basically a take it or leave scenario. So I had the nut roast as there wasn't any other choice and when it finally arrived it basically went cold in about 5 minutes. Its lucky I don't also have a nut allergy because then there would be nothing on that menu I could eat. The roast comes with four roast potatoes and a small Yorkshire pudding. Is that all you can serve for people? There was honestly more plate than food. The desert was decent, it was clearly microwaved apple pie so the crust had zero crust too it but it's sweet so it goes down easy. Main saving grace for me is the beer selection was pretty decent and the starter hummus with bread was really good. The staff were very nice although they almost have this feeling of 'we need to ask you questions but we don't want too'. I was sat initially waiting for my family to arrive and waited at least 10 minutes before being offered a drink. Despite people looking at me every 10 seconds. Second drink offer I had, was deciding on the drink but waiting then the waiting to tell them was a bit silly. There was a huge delay because there was too much focus on the guy talking to the owner, edging towards me then continuing to talk too the owner. All in all it was okay, I feel like the food was sacrificed because of the deal. Easily spent that much on one course before anywhere else and for it to be a full plate of good food. Some of the waiting around and staff attention was a bit lost at times but everyone was accomidating enough. I'm afraid I just can't forgive them for only having one vegetarian main course and three vegetarian starters.

I visit here often for meals with my fiance, and for good reason. It is hard to find a nicer place to eat in Wigan. Staff here are very attentive and welcoming. The food and menu is fantastic and has good variety. The drinks menu is good considering the size of the restaurant. Booking is advised!

Really good food and top notch service. We arrived without a booking and the place was pretty well booked up but the owner found us a nice table and made us really welcome.

Went mid week on a Wednesday. Great 2 course offer on for 11.95 food fantastic nice setting. Good staff.

Good food with a very pleasant friendly staff. BUT. Slow 1 hr between starters and main meal. Will go again .it was Sunday Lunch afterall So very busy.
