Simple menu and everything done fresh. Don't know the place that much since we were here once but food was served fast. Place was full and waiting time for takeaways was roughly 5 min. 2 cashier were operating and all went smooth. Coffee was good, bread was very good : All tables were cleaned after customer leaves. It is good place for quick breakfast or coffee break.
Stopped at Gail's for an Iced Latte and a Blueberry Muffin... Both were very good. Seating inside and outside and they have a customer toilet. Prices average for London.
The chai latte is super good and the place always smells great. Still getting to know my local coffee places around but this one is pretty yum. I like the interior of this Gail's, although only the upstairs area seating was open. The table we sat at hadn't been cleaned.
Delicious bakery, good service!!! Lots of places to sit downstairs! Latte is great, bathroom good! High ceilings! Only point of improvement could have been quicker drinks
It’s not cheap, but they have the best pastry I know of. Their cakes are delicious, and the bread is also great. I don’t drink coffee - so I can’t say anything about theirs, but the tea is good. I never pass one without entering and buying something :
Great and illuminated space. The scone was marvelous, and cinnamons buns are the stars! Friendly staff and quick service!
The coffee was great. Knowing Gail’s and being a fan I’d be surprised if it wasn’t fresh, but the bread on the pastries was hard and didn’t taste fresh. The big disappointment were the glasses. I took two which both smelled of egg. I mentioned the feedback with the staff who made no note of it.This is the second time it has happened in the same store. You might see that I bought a bottle of water; this was because drinking the complimentary water with the smelly glasses was too awful.
Great pastries and coffees as in every Gail's. I do agree with other reviews that the staff are not super friendly but that's fine it's a bakery so not expecting Savoy-like service. One to try is the custard and blueberry pastry, absolutely amazing! See pictured
Welcome to Gail’s Pimlico, please adjust your expectations and hold on to your hats - it’s going to be a bumpy ride . We all know and love Gail’s. The delicious cakes and perfect coffee win win win. All of these are undeniably present at the Pimlico branch BUT what’s going on with the staff! So bad it’s laughable. Behind the counter staff bark at you as you cross the threshold like you’re stepping into a packed NYC deli with a round the block queue. The customers being served in front of me were being rushed through by a member of staff who was as panicked as a heart surgeon in an 80’s A&E drama…. even to the point that when they asked a question about a cake the response was ‘why do you need to know’ . Don’t bother eating in unless you want to listen to staff SHOUTING AT THE TOP OF THEIR VOICES to the chef downstairs Hilarious. Awful. Weird
Chicken and chestnut pie was delish, sausage roll is unique with lots of dried thyme or rosemary, not my thing but it could be yours!
