11/11/22 - popped in to grab lunch, opted for the chicken, chestnut and thyme pasty and the cinnamon roll, total came to £8. It was rather nice but a Friday treat. Good selection of products. Love their cinnamon twist. Staff seem pleasant too. Only downside is, I don't like how the bake products are so exposed to customers with no covers. One of my pet hate, hence why I don't visit as frequently. There are dessert items, tables and chairs, not sure if its step free access or has disabled facilities.
The service is in this place is absolutely atrocious. Just queued up for ever and left because none of the staff were serving. Not for the first time. A woman with a bun was wandering around with a vacant expression filling up a delivery order, putting approximately one item in the bag every two minutes, while a queue of ten actual customers were waiting. Not sure why I went here, knowing full well it’s like this.
If you’re going to stop at a chain coffee shop and bakery, Gail’s is a good choice. This location is just like the other Gail’s - fresh baked goods and pretty good coffee. My personal preference is to support small businesses and more independent coffee shops. The good news with Crouch End is that there are a number of good alternatives should you want to do this.
Been there on Sunday, had a slice of Babka and my partner got an almond chocolate croissant. And two lattes. The place was busy but that didn’t really affect the service, which was impeccable. Well done!Food: 5/5
My regular Coffee Stop and always thoroughly enjoyable with lovely Coffee , Pastrami on Seeded Bread with Gherkin and Mustard and a Cinnamon Bun to finish . I cant fault it .Food: 5/5
Lovely little bakery. This is the second Gail's I've been too and it has a bit more of a small bakery local feel than the first. We enjoyed a few delicious pastries including their fantastic sausage rolls and a quiche. Service was good and prompt. It wasn't too busy as we visited late on a Thursday morning. I would go out of my way to return to this location.
The staff are the absolute best! So friendly and helpful. Wonderful service. The coffee is always great & the food is very tasty!Food: 5/5
Food pretty good, service unfriendly. Some snooty clientele too. Good amount of seating. Overall not as good as other Gail's I've been to.Food: 4/5
A very cosy bakery and cafe in the centre of Crouch End. They have a great selection of freshly baked pastries and cakes in the morning. Had an Almond and Chocolate pastry and Vegan Hot Cocoa one morning before work. No complaints and I'd definitely be returning.
