I was looking to find scones in London for couple of days till I found it here!! Honestly it was pretty good. They gave many other fresh pastries to pick.
We didn't meet Gail!!!! Who is Gail? Where is she? I want to meet her for the fabulous flourless chocolate cake. Hot chocolate was bit small. And none of us got any spoons. We had to ask for a spoon twice. Otheit was an overall good experience.
Local chain bakery / coffee shop with delectable options. Had the ham and cheese croissant that was near perfect. Staff was courteous and prompt.
Just love Gail's pastry - recommend almond and choco croissant and flourless choco cake. They've got A very good selection of freshly baked pastry and bread, clean store and quick service. This store is not so busy.
Shhh don't tell anyone... The best pastry and coffee suntrap in London. But don't let anyone else know. It's our little secret. Looking out over a beautiful square and so close to central. The almond croissant is the one and the coffee is awesome. The staff are all excellent. Our go to when we have a spare morning or friends visiting.
This was the first Gail’s I discovered back in 2014. Their cappuccino was one of the best I have ever tasted, and so were the ginger-blueberry scones. It used to be my weekly treat. Unfortunately they are no longer baking them , so haven’t been back recently
Good shop. Good service - quick. Very busy. Hardly any seating available at peak times. The tables are not cleaned regularly. So not very nice if the person before you didn't clean up after themselves.
I was introduced to this heavenly bakery by a friend. I had a croissant with chocolate & almonds all in one! and a Flat White coffee. So fresh and delicious! I now want to try pretty much everything from their menu : All the baked goods are beautifuly displayed on the "island" in the middle of the bakery... so inviting & mouthwatering. The staff was friendly & helpful. There are a few seating spaces inside & outside.
A lovely bakery shop! They do have a lot of bakery selections, with a whole range of European countries. Got different types of scones, croissants and others. Covering both sweet and savory selection. Got a plain scone and a one-shot cappuccino dine-in. The cappuccino was well-made. The scone was okay, I have had better ones but the jam was nice. It would be about £5 for to-go, but it feels really good eating in their cute little shop that definitely worth a little extra. Seats are limited and thus not suitable for large groups.
Wow. Wee weekend trip to London, wanted to ensure we tried some "non-chain" options as there is so much to choose from. Happily, of all the choices I'm glad Gail's was where we landed for lunch! Absolutely delicious, fresh, tasty filling food, and one of the best cups of coffee I've had in recent memory. Highly recommended - though you may struggle for a seat as it's very popular!
