Gail's Abbeville Road is so disappointing. The attitude of the lady who is apparently the manager/assistant manager is not acceptable I don't know the name of this lady!. She makes you feel that we are not welcome, or makes you feel that she is your boss!!! It seems she is selecting the customers!!! while other staffs are welcome and nice to all customers. I definitely DON'T recommend this place to people who look for an organised and friendly environment.
Not had a bad experience in any Gails. The one in Abbeville is very well organised. Coffee is nice and there is so much food to choose from. I'm particularly fond of the pastries...always a nice weekend treat
Same other Gails, good to chill in the morning :P
Very HOME from HOME place to visit. First the shop was really clean and neat, the staff are chatty and attentive to all customers. Great coffee and they had a great range of really great pastries and breads to make your mouth water. Seems to be a great place for families and mums-to-be to meet up. WiFi is excellent and they have a nice section of high tables which are great when using your laptop and don't want to take up a 4 person table.
One of my favorite breakfast place in London. Excellent cappuccino, great variety of sweets with great quality. Lovely location, very clean and tidy! Fast service and gentle staff
They clean while the customers are still in so that they can leave promptly at closing time instead of letting people enjoying their drink and food in peace.
Great food, nice atmosphere and a good view of the kitchen. Coffee isn't great unfortunately, it isn't terrible but if you're just coming here for a coffee, it's strengths lie elsewhere. Update: today I went in and stood at the till for a couple minutes whilst 3 different baristas walked by, looked at me but none of them said a thing. Even 'I'll be with you in a second' would have been fine. Can't say it's much fun standing around with staff looking at then looking away from you so I left.
Very nice brunch of mushrooms and goats curd on toast. Fresh produce and quick service made for a great brunch. Freshly croissants going into the oven to top-up their enormous spread of fresh pastries are sure to make your mouth water! Only minor criticisms are the staff could be friendlier for sitting in, and toilets were pretty dirty for a Sunday morning.
Absolutely excellent breakfast food and great coffee. Would definitely go again.
What's the point in getting the overpriced artisan bread sliced when they just stuff it in the too-small bag? EVERY time! Croissants are too bready too, the Sainsbury's ones are nicer. What a world we live in.
