Managed to get through on the phone fairly quickly to get an appointment, which was a novelty. Reception staff were very polite and helpful. the nurse who examined me was pleasant, thorough and gave good advice.
Phoned up and had the phone put down on me. Called back and got an answer from a rude receptionist, who wasn't interested atall. Got an emergency appointment for my 3 year old daughter about her eye, Took her in and the doctor was about as useful as a chocolate teapot. She has a lump on her eyelid blocked gland and he said " well, where is it then" clearly it's visible. Told him we have tried warm compresses and he said I can give you an ointment cream. " Do you want it or not" explained she's only 3 and she won't allow us to do that... He said well what do you expect and again said do you want it or not. So said yes. We also had a concern about her chest and his reply was you should make an another appointment if you want that seeing too, your here for her eye ... Okay so I'll waste an appointment someone else could have when I'm already there with my daughter, just like fusehill medical practice answers the phone or has appointments in the first place because they don't. Reluctantly he had a brief listen to her chest and said there is nothing wrong with her... We'll try being the one who's clearing up her sick when she's coughing and then gagging from it. The last time her chest was bad and we had seen a doctor they said nothing wrong and she ended up in hospital for 5 days. The doctors and reception need looking into and re training, especially when it comes to how a patient is treated.
Managed to see GP within a couple of days of requesting an appointment this week, which is a vast improvement to previous experiences. I must applaud fusehill medical practice as I’ve noticed a massive improvement in services over the past few weeks. Phones are being answered and GP appointments are more readily available. Keep up the good work
Appointment to see diabetic nurse. On time, very helpful and pleasant She had a trainee nurse sitting in with her, and she was very nice too. Didn’t feel rushed , plenty of time to talk
My 6 year old daughter was poorly sent home from school they requested for her to be checked by a gp rang at 12pm receptionist put me down for a call back when they doctor rang me back was no available appointments that day was told over the phone it was viral and fobbed off basically I requested to be seen so was given an appointment for the next morning where she was seen face to face and put on a 10 day course of antibiotics. Personally I think the system is a joke
Helen was very kind and friendly to me. She explained each step in detail. I thank her very much. The area was very clean. Waiting time was short.
Although i sometimes cannot always get through by telephone the Patient Access app is an alternative way to message surgery re setting up appointments if not urgent that particular day. Reception staff are always helpful and deal with my questions effectively. Nursing staff and GPs are always professional with dealing with my health concerns.
Dr very helpful and informative. Got my prescription from my recent stay in hospital and filled it straight away so I could pick it up from my pharmacy with no stress. Recently got my blood taken by a lovely nurse also who was sympathetic to my being anxious and was really nice to me.
When I arrived at my appointment - I was not booked in under my name BUT my mothers!! The receptionist was quite abrupt and negative - it wasn’t until the nurse said to cancel it and insert my name in quickly - otherwise surprise surprise would have to book another appointment. Did not appreciate the other member of staff coming in as she was waiting for her appointment - VERY RUDE. Heidi was brilliant and very supportive as I had my mini meltdown AGAIN because of mistakes made at the surgery
Had an appointment today 18-10-2022. Very happy to say that the practice has got back on track. Thanks to all the staff for working so hard to get back on top and no doubt putting up with some very bad days during the “interval”. Well done all Fusehill staff!
