Being in Gillingham store speaking with Tom, who has been brilliant with myself and partner. Helping us to buy a new bed and took so much time in explaining the different styles and price's. We went to other stores to check on other beds but felt so comfortable we came back and bought the bed from him and only him. Brilliant worker and a credit to the store.
We cannot fault the service we received from Tom Rich when choosing our sofa. The advice he gave allowed us to make the right choice without feeling pressured. We will definitely return and would highly recommend the Gillingham store as all of the staff we met were friendly and helpful.
Andy was more than helpful today, without being over the top and in our faces. Spent plenty of time with us offering options when we weren’t sure. Great customer service and a great choice of furniture.
Very helpful staff, showed a very genuine interest in our needs and us moving to Norfolk. As we didn’t want to wait to order when we arrived at our new home. As it’s a 10 week wait. Showed us sofas in the colour we had chosen for the sofa called cozee. Very impressed as usual. Always buy my furniture from furniture village. Thank u Andy in gillingham store Kent.
Alif was friendly and assisted me well in helping to find furniture which met my needs. Mission accomplished! I’ve bought furniture from furniture village in the past, and I’m really impressed with the quality, which is why I went back there to buy some more today.
Recently brought a dining table and chairs from Gillingham branch. Chairs arrived within 2 weeks but having to constantly chase the delivery of my table. Was told two weeks ago the table is in stock and is in Dartford but it’s now almost three weeks and no communication from Furniture Village to update me. Have tried to ring the Dartford warehouse myself over 10 times but getting through the automated system is near on impossible and switches off whilst you are waiting in the queue. Spoke to someone this morning who said he would find out about my delivery and not heard anything since. Customer service and after sales experience poor. Would not recommend the customer service as not very responsive.
To start with, I must say the salesman pre sale was helpful and none of the following is aimed at him. However, once our sofa arrived and our problem started Furniture Village have been useless and we won't be using them again. First of all they had our sofa, then they didn't as the corner was missing then they found it again and decided to send the Chuckle Brothers to deliver. Damaged was caused to our walls on delivery and the sofa was not put together properly. We then noticed the corner piece had a large sag in it which went down more when you sat on it. This made us suspicious that this was the piece they did have, then didn't have so had we been given someone else's faulty return to allow them to complete our order? The chuckle brothers seemed confused as well but gave us a number to contact to resolve the issue. A guy then visited us to inspect the sofa and asked us if we would be happy for them to add extra foam and packing to the corner piece to bring it up to the same level as the rest of the sofa. We said we would and were happy that at least this offer was as good as an admission that the corner was faulty. Then we got a letter advising that the Furniture Village sofa expert had provided a reported stating there was no issue with the corner piece and we could not claim against them, all very convenient! Why not just do as they expert offered and pack the sofa out to sort out the issue? Anyway I have been away for a few months and now I am back in the UK I am taking this up with trading standards. So in short if you have no issues, they may be ok but be aware if you have a problem then they don't care as they have your money and will fob you off!
My order was placed for a leather corner sofa on 2nd July 2022, it was not delivered until Monday 17th October. Trying to get through to the Gillingham Store is also very challenging, they hardly ever answer their phones. During my waiting time the store agreed to give me weekly updates, this did not happen all of the time. The delay was blamed on shipping & the delays at the ports generally but I was given mixed information. We had to make several visits to the store due to not getting calls back or not being able to get through. The store did give me £250 off for the delays. When my sofa did arrive, I paid for it in store, their credit card machine went wrong the money came out of my account & I was told at a later date my sofa wouldn’t be delivered as I hadn’t paid. Furniture Village are advertising order now & get your delivery before Christmas; I personally would go elsewhere if you want a guaranteed delivery. The sofa is brilliant not cheap but the service needs vastly improving given the price even after the reduction.
Bought a new dining table, bed frame and sofa and spent alot of money. Was guaranteed Chistams delivery for the sofa and then was told there had been a delay because of the weather. There has been no adverse weather! Then I was told 23rd, now its the 28th. I have tried calling them and left various messages with distribution warehouse and the store but they never get back to me. Want to cancel the order. Not happy with their after care. Once they have your money then they don't seem to care
Ordered a sofa begining of November was told be here just after Christmas 3 times it has been put back!. Called the Branch they dont answer phone calls, customer service say they cant do nothing have to speak to Branch so getting nowhere fast, the only time they have tried ring back they let phone rjng once and cut it off!. If no one gets incontact with me by next week, order will be cancelled. Not even a call to explain delay just a tracking number and basically you or to grin and bare it!.
