My partner went in with a suspected broken finger/knuckle. Credit where credit is due she was seen quickly, however the doctor said there was nothing on the x-ray and she was sent away. During this time I was sat in a waiting room that didnt even have a vending machine. I was starving and becoming increasingly hangry. Two weeks later after her colleague at James Cook Hospital suggested she go for another x-ray there. Turns out she had a broken knuckle. This is the third time she has been to the Friarage to be told there is nothing wrong, only to find out the contrary later. I believe the ethos at the Friarage is similar to somebody who makes a crappy cup of tea in the hope they never get asked to do it again. One star.

I have just spent a day in this hospital and on Gara Ward in particular, which was a hugely positive experience. From start to finish my spinal surgery and aftercare was outstanding. The highly professional staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for each and every patient, oh and the food was fantastic, which busts the myth surrounding typical hospital food. An easy 5 star review for a great team 👍.

In 1998 I led a group of my student to the UK from America on holiday. One of my students, despondent because his girlfriend broke up with him on the trip, tried to kill himself by jumping from a British Railways tressle. We took him to the Friarage and the care was magnificent. They help were so kind and the doctors were so wonderful. They explained my student''s state of mind to me and what I had to do to satisfy British law. I have wanted to write for years about this. They even put me up in a cottage on the hospital grounds. Thank you so much for what you did for me and my student. I hope that anyone who is still working at the hospital and remembers the incident will please understand how much you all mean to me. Also, kudos to the local police for helping us get the young man's credit card back for us from the British Rail clerk who would not return it. Cheers to all and you and your country are much loved in my house.

I had to go here for x rays and tests and they were so fast I was able to be in and out during my work lunch hour - no waiting about at all.

Took my Dad for more test yesterday, Staff on CDU ward could not have been more lovely. Really Professional friendly and we even had a few laughs. All in all made the visit to Hospital more bearable. Just waiting to find out if I can go collect him today or if he is staying in again in which case will be off for a visit.
