Amazing place. If it wasn't for this place I couldn't imagine how my Bruno would be now. He was told by orchard vets he'd never see out one of his discoloured eyes. Not accepting this took him pdsa the treated him with few different drops now his eye is 80percent clear and he don't have problem seeing.. also sorted a retained testicular that can cause problems. So I'm for ever grateful
Layout is great, reception separates dogs from cats etc and is very spacious. Trainee staff that had seen us were brilliant and very informative. Checked everything that they possibly could, was very reassuring and polite. Reception staff are lovely and helpful. Couldn’t recommend more.
Great new building with ample parking and easy access. Seen in good time and separate seating for cat and dog owners. Seating also available outside under a canopy to keep you dry while you wait. Vet was polite and did a full health check on my dog and 2 appointments were made for treatment the same week.
It's really hard to give this place a review. The location is great, very easy to get to, and generally easy to make an emergency appointment. The vet staff and nurses are incredible - very caring, friendly, and helpful. They have helped us with multiple pet emergencies and have always given our pets the best care they could. However, the PDSA receptionists are utterly, utterly awful. Every time I have been in we have been looked down on and treated like either awful pet owners or benefit scroungers. I've been talked over, denied vet care, spoken back to, and told that we were trying to 'just get free vet care when we don't need it', all while dealing with the extreme stress of having a seriously ill pet. On top of that, hounding patients for donations despite telling them we can't even afford food for ourselves due to multiple expensive private vet bills, and then being scolded for not donating is just disgusting practice. They already know the people using their service are low income and in need, yet treat their service users like sub-humans. Obviously we try to use private vet care when we can but there are some situations where that isn't possible, and being villainsed for doing so is simply cruel. I would come back here if I needed to, but only because I care for my pets' welfare.
Nice new building. Kind and caring staff. Brilliant nurses and vets! Thank you for saving my cat's life, I can't thank you enough for everything you've done!!
Beautiful new building. Clean and spacious. Friendly helpful staff. The vet was knowledgeable and helpful. Only issue was the tannoy system was very muffled and unclear and difficult to hear who was being called to what room.
I took a friend with her cat, which was ill. Unfortunately, the cat had to be put to sleep. The staff were very caring and took the time to talk to my friend and reassured her that he wasn't alone when he was put to sleep. They also explained where the ashes were scattered. They made a sad time a little more bearable.
Took my dog here wasn't well had a examination and they couldn't find anything wrong with him had bloods done cost me £500 and no answers to why he wasn't well. Next day took him to my own vet that gave him a examination and within 3 minutes found that he'd hurt his hip and was in loads of pain was a waste of time and money taking him here for an emergency appointment when surely they should have found this out in his examination.
My pet cat Tina as monthly medication for her THYROID condition, she's 15 years of age now and she's doing really well. I would like to take this opportunity to give a big thank-you to the pdsa vets, nurses and staff who lovingly take care of her, bless you.
The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The building is calming for both owners and pets. It is spacious place with separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, which helps reduce stress for most animals.
