Tried to make an emergency appointment this morning for my dog who had breathing difficulties. The lady I spoke to refused to book an appointment without full vet history being given at the time of booking. I asked if I could go through that when I arrived at the appointment. They said no and that I should call back when I had more time I was driving, trying to navigate a sick pet and the school run so was flustered. Turns out i didn't have time.nI got another appointment 30 mins later at another vet without having to worry about paperwork in advance. My dog has been put to sleep this morning.nYou should be ashamed of making things so difficult and having zero compassion when you must have heard from my voice how worried and upset I was.
9/10 times I've been here the service has been really good the vets have always been friendly and knowledgeable and it's one of the few places my dog behaves. I've been coming here for the last 9 years and it's always remained a professional place. The only issue I've had recently is I asked for a quiet appointment for my dog which is usually never an issue I am flexible with my time, the receptionist on the phone assured me it would be quiet but I was greeted by a full waiting room which left me having to stand in the cat waiting area with a sarcastic/rude receptionist.
All they care about is taking your money, they give no care towards your beloved animal, please avoid and find an establishment that put your pets healthcare first! I am sure there are many establishments that value you and your animals well-being. I paid for a test to view a life critical condition for my animal, after having them take the blood from the wrong area, I have had to re-do the test and had wait almost 2 weeks when I was advised a result in 3 days and all whilst my animal suffers to be told an obvious result and advised to pay for further tests. Absolutely outrageous, strongly do not advise! I will be going elsewhere!
Don't bother! All they are interested in is your money!! I went there because I couldn't get in my normal vet's because they were booked up and I needed drops for my cats weepy eye! She's had this problem before and I knew she needed drops but they insisted on seeing her. I brought her up and they looked, 5 minutes later I was charged £72!! The drug costs £3.80! I had same problem again 6 weeks later and my normal vet charged me £43. She inspected her eye, felt her stomach, looked at her teeth and weighed her, all for this price!!!! Honestly, if you are a first timer don't bother if you don't have a lot of money like myself and don't think making money at a maximising rate is the kind of vet you want to go to! They don't give a jot!!!!
I found a poor baby pigeon who had fallen from a height, their nest was two stories up and I couldn’t access it even through attempts of knocking on doors to get up there. So I had to take the little baby somewhere to help. When I called Vets4Pets, they said they could take it in, but their policy is to put it to sleep. Therefore, they do put healthy animals down! They didn’t even help to refer to any other organisation. Through researching I found Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital who took the baby in and are now treating him and feeding him, and he will be released with a flock of other pigeons once ready. I understand the vets might not have the facility to look after injured or any wild animal, but they do have a duty of care to animals and should have sign posted me to a relevant closest facility which could help, or taken him there. Their quick and easy answer is euthanasia! Not true animal loversn:
