First time visiting Frank's. The restaurant is lovely, great decor, comfortable and spot on for the type of food. Food was excellent, burgers were very tasty and cooked perfectly, the fries were amazing, crisp outside and soft inside, sides were all great too. Quality of the food is amazing, and all cooked very well. Staff were friendly and very helpful, made to feel very welcome. As you can tell we loved our meal here and will be back again soon. Thank you !!
Visited on a Wednesday evening with my sister. Only one other occupied table with 3 gents on when we placed our order. It took 45 minutes to get our food. Wine was not particularly nice. Staff nice and friendly. Food average. Probably won’t go again to be honest.
The meal was as good as expected as we had been before. We eat out regularly in various restaurants and would class a burger House a lesser experience yet fancied it. We were with another couple to whom the male partner had a snobbery about going for a burger to which we find amusing. Our experience of Frank's was the most pleasant. The servers were the most polite, genuine and professional and truly go the extra mile. They provided a peasant experience that excels in comparison to excellent service by other restaurants. They check on you in a natural way and not just that it is part of their job.

Really great place to eat! Annie and her colleagues took really good care of us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed.
It's a fantastic place to come with friends and family to enjoy a burger and relax. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious, and they offer options for vegetarians as well as gluten free, so anyone can enjoy a delicious meal here. The prices are really reasonable as well. Highly recommend it.
Very helpful staff, nice location. Food was generally good, but not excellent. Deep fried calamari was very tough and some dishes seemed exceptionally salty.
I have been coming to Franks for about 8 years or so now. I even had my 30th Birthday at Franks Cogenhoe 6 years ago with 17 friends. Over the years I have seen a steady decline sadly. Franks was always a place I could rely on for good food, a good atmosphere and reasonably priced. Importantly, everything was sourced locally which they prided themselves on with maps of where everything came from in the restaurant. Even the menu items were named after local landmarks and it was a great personal touch! One of the best items to order was the milkshakes which were made with local ice cream Gallones. Over the years they did away with the most moreish chips, which were unlimited! They were so good, they actually stood out from anything else from any other restaurant. The restaurant was always busy, they branched out to other areas of Northampton town. The lunch menu was good being able to get a burger and fries for £5 I think it was at one point. I went last week after looking online at the now very limited opening hours. It was a Friday at 1730 and there was only one person eating, the menu is limited to just a few burgers now. They have expanded the menu to do ribs and slow cooked meats but this is a hamburger house. If I want slow cooked meat, I will go to the Smoke Pit or Hops and chops. I ordered a salted caramel milkshake which was bland, consisted mainly of squirty cream and some sauce squirted around the cup. There is no mention of whether the food and ingredients are still local or not, so I assume it isn't anymore, as all of the maps have been removed. That was a unique selling point for Franks and I felt like the burger didn't taste anything special. Hearing they brought the old chips back I was excited for a meal like the old times the replacement chips they used were so dull and flavourless. Thankfully I can confirm the chips are amazing again and the service was really good too as we were pretty much the only ones in the restaurant. We had two friendly staff happy to help and are a credit to the restaurant. That's about all of the stand out positives to mention really. In all, if you are new to Franks having never been, then you will have an ok meal and won't know any different. The trouble is, most Franks customers are repeat custom and I feel that like me, others have seen it slide. Barely any of the restaurants are open now and with limited hours. All of my mates prefer to go elsewhere now and that happened years ago when the old chips were replaced. It's such a shame to witness such a downhill slide of what was a great restaurant name... I can only put it down to poor management.
