Been going here for years. Great for breakfast, in fact their breakfast offer was very good and included unlimited hot drinks. I went again on Saturday and was quite disappointed. They have changed the breakfast service, which is understandable as it is a business. However I ordered a side of pancakes. I expect that pancakes are served with syrup. ...that's standard. No syrup was served and I thought it was just forgotten as syrup was always served with pancakes. So I asked for syrup. When I got the bill I was charged extra for syrup. My problem is that I was told. The menu was just changed a few weeks ago, since it was never charged for someone should have mentioned the changes which are not obvious on the menu. In addition when I asked for an explanation the waitress said to me that she couldn't see the problem " you got your syrup didn't you ". She was speaking over me and had a bit of an attitude. We have always got on well with this restaurant and most of the staff know us and are really good. Wasn't happy with the experience on Saturday.

Went here to celebrate the end of sats for my daughter.. we went with her freind and mum..Girls were treated very special even gave them candles in there pudding. .✔

Went there last night when there were a table of 22 of us for my brother in laws birthday. Seemed to have been ignored most of the night as it took ages for someone to start to take all our orders. All it took was a waitress to go round asking every now and again if we were ready but we had to flag down service. The quickness of the meal coming out was fantastic though, so can’t fault that. Wasn’t happy that the waitress took the order all as one though as it proved difficult to leave towards the end as my two children who came we’re falling asleep and were ready to go so after a few calculations we were able to sort out payment and leave but we had to jump through hoops to get an answer to sort it. Even had to flag down dessert for my kids too but go a snotty answer back that they were waiting for others to finish eating in the group but as far as we were all aware everyone had finished eating about 20mins before I asked. Waitress was rude to my sister in law who arranged the meal and she put a formal complaint in so I’ve yet to hear of the outcome of all that. I fully understand the pressures these waitresses are under but seeing as people were saving themselves for a night out tonight for New Years Eve it seemed to be rather quiet yesterday so it’s not like the staff was rushed off their feet. I’ve had better service at other establishments but it wasn’t the worst I’ve experienced but feel like more needs to be done regarding service in that place.

First time at Riverside, normally go Sixfields. Staff ok, but food disappointing. Starter ok. Medium rare steak undercooked so returned. Better 2nd attempt but extremely tough. Lots of flies hovering too with no zapper in sight.
