"Welcome to Franco's Fish and Chips and Pizza in Stockbridge - Edinburgh. We've been serving quality, traditional Fish and chips and authentic Pizza for 46 years. Our online reviews are humbling and glowing, with praise and plenty of compliments flowing. They love our new pasta range, with carbonara, infused vodka and of course bolognaise. Adoration for our traditional fish, with hot chips to complete a guilty wish. Most of the negative reviews here seem to have been delivery. I get it as a pickup, so my experience has been generally positive. Not much to say really, just your very average chippy food. The chips aren’t inedible and dry, but they’re not so moist and plump either. Pizza, onion rings, burgers aren’t half bad either. I’m a big fan of the tiramisu that’s not really tiramisu.
Ordered for a work do. They were promptly delivered and excellently prepared. Was personally really surprised how tasty everything was - didn't think this chippy would produce such delightful food but now I'm going to be a regular.
Food here is usually brilliant and I think the chefs are great. However, a man on the phone has the worst Customer Service during problems ever. Very rude and dismissive of any issues and when asked for a refund and to cancel the order which had not yet arrived I was told it's not a big deal and hung up on. I think that's ridiculous customer service and his attitude has put me off ordering from there again.
Best fish and chip shop around here! Friendly staff on the phone, lovely delivery drivers. Fresh food even when you order late at night. Can not fault the place. Definitely recommend their pizzas!
Appalling... We had the worst food ever. We ordered a Crispy Fish and chips and it was a soggy mess the batter was undercooked and inedible yuk! The Pizza fared no better... a soggy chewy undercooked disappointing effort. I will not be back and I advise you to spend your money elsewhere!
Extremely friendly, courteous, nice staff, excellent fish and chips, a pity that we soon have to return to Austria
Franco's is honestly one of the best takeaways in Edinburgh. So far, every meal I've gotten from them has been fantastic - pizza, fish and chips, pasta, etc. They even made a kapsalon for me, a special kebab dish invented in Rotterdam made with a layer of chips, a layer of cheese, a layer of doner meat and a layer of salad. Ask for it! Prices are also very reasonable at Franco's.
Overpriced and overrated. Very late delivery, waited an hour and half for 2 pizzas.
