Central Takeaway and Pizzeria

Look - - it's not brilliant but in almost any circumstance in which you'd be tempted to go in; it's good enough. This is a chippy that takes care of students and locals coming back from the pub. In that respect it does well. The fish and chips is good enough. Better still; the pizzas here are one of the best in the area. You'll find service quick and straight forward, although there's always the risk that there will be a drunk or lost gaggle of tourists slowing things down in front of you. The prices are fair. The place is clean. Should tourists visit? Only in the content of trying a typical Scottish chippie.

first time I have had a pizza from there and, oh my, how good it tastes. Even got a smile from Toni tonight but don't be alarmed if you don't get one. Always good service, always good quality food, sometimes a smile

If you want a quick no frills food option, without paying the tourist tax, this chippy is a good bet. It does the usual. It does it well. Comfort food.

Worst chips I’ve ever eaten. Cheeseburger was worse than average. 2/5 would eat only when drunk
