I may be slightly biased, as I frequently play live music here at The Fox as a soloist and fronting my functions band, but even as a punter I've always emphatically enjoyed the atmosphere and their wide and frequently-varying selections of beer, ale and cider. Alison Thompson runs a tight ship with exceptionally high levels of customer service, but isn't afraid to let her hair down and have a dance about with the punters to any of the live music on offer - frequently held both indoors and outdoors. I've yet to sample the food, but boy does it look brilliant. Date night beckons, for sure.. Long live The Fox at Carlton
Nice lunch with friends. Although they were fully booked for lunch time, they were welcoming and made room for us to eat. Nice friendly staff.
Visited this week, good atmosphere and well kept beer. Didn't eat but food looked good and there were plenty of people dining
This was a really nice surprise we stumbled across on Mother's Day 2022. We had been out in a neighbouring village and came in for a bite, sitting outside in their spacious garden. The owner/staff was incredibly kind to us we rocked up with two toddlers and attentive to all the customers; the food was simple fare but very well done and so so delicious. Would really recommend, had great meal! Thank you very much.

Great service, scrumptious food and dogs welcome. We even had a table reserved for us so Samson had room to lay down in the alcove. The homemade chips are wonderful and crispy, the garlic bread is the best we've ever tasted and the lemon cheesecake is utterly delicious. Can't wait to go back. Samson was so relaxed he went to sleep.

Lovely old pub in a quiet village setting. Lots of character. Food was good and we didn’t have long to wait. Cheerful, pleasant staff.
