A Typical Wetherspoon- The Pilgrim's Progress, British Bar & Restaurant where you can buy pocket friendly food & drinks on a usual day. It has got all the traditional looks and vibe and is busy especially during common hours. Being busy, it lacks little tidiness of tables and staff are usually better at their service. Located in the heart of Bedford Town it can be easily located. Always filled with its regular customers and a great place to hangout for a chat over a drink or food. The food is delicious and the drinks are perfect. Food & drinks: Wide Variety of Food & Drinks with a special menu each day.
I was overwhelmed by the friendly staff and the food. I really enjoyed my meal. Best Spoons I’ve ever been to. Decent pricing, affordable and good food. Definitely recommend, if we come down here again we’ll definitely stop by for another meal.
5 star service from Jaime last night. I usually take my residents from a care home out and paying for 6-8 seperate meals can take a while. I usually find that some servers get bored or frustrated with us but Jaime was so accommodating quick and polite I really enjoyed him taking our orders and think he is providing the best service in there! Well done Jaime.
The best budget hotel I've stayed in for quite a while. Clean, spacious, very large bed, large walk in shower, plenty of tea/coffee available with some shortbread biscuits added. Also turned out to be the cheapest. Couldn't fault it.
Usually love going to wetherspoons! I liked the lunch I had, the chips were okay but half of them were uncooked.... The drinks were fab like all spoons drinks, usually the food is but on this occasion some of the chips were uncooked.. But other than that I enjoyed my time at the Bedford spoons and will be back.
The pub and hotel are lovely. The location is awful. Racer boys in 1.1 Novas and Fiestas with fat exhausts use the circular roads around the hotel as a racing track to show off how loud their puny ickle cars can be. This results in a disturbed night of sleep interrupted by constant noise which echoes off the lamentable brutalust architecture in the town. If you like sleep, peace and quiet, avoid like the plague, if however you love spotty faced teens recreating the fast and the furious then this is the venue for you. The management didn't want to report it as a disturbance of the peace. I guess it was a case of F1... F em all!
Ordered a meal with 2x cherry Pepsi max. Took 20 mins for the drinks to arrive and they were flat as anything. They happily changed them for 2 more flat pepsi max but this time they weren’t even cherry. Annoying. After nearly 40 mins the food arrived. It was decent enough but my food the heatwave burger wasn’t in the slightest bit hot which was disappointing to say the least. Won’t bother going again, Very disappointing
Food tasted very basic, the chips with curry sauce i recon had been cooked times before and heated in some kind of oven, werent nice at all
The place is busy but it did not take too long to be served and we managed to fit a large group of us on to tables and order food. So overall a pretty good experience
Had Sunday breakfast here as part of my "cultural tour." I had to try the "Spooons." Brekkie was ok and I enjoyed the botomless coffee.
