One of the best leisure centre in town. Highly recommended. They just need to increase gym size. Swimming pool is best and staff is very friendly
Very very poor. The pool and changing rooms are in a shocking state of disrepair. There are cubicles and lockers without doors. The changing rooms are filthy. The steps to the right side of the pool are out of use meaning anyone finishing a class in the right hand lane then has to walk back through all the other lanes where people are swimming. I only wanted to join this centre for one month while my regular pool was out of use. When I explained this to the staff member I was told this was fine. I was not informed that I would have to cancel my membership in writing giving 30 days notice at any point. Towards the end of the month I cancelled my direct debit so it didn’t renew and thought that would be fine. Instead I get hounded and harassed for £30 payment for a second month membership which I did not want and did not use. Staff at the centre told me I should have read the terms and conditions and would not help even when I pointed out that I had not felt the need to read the terms and conditions as I trusted the information provided by the staff member. The contact number for payments just cut off repeatedly. For a company to insist on this payment, even when the circumstances have been clearly explained, and when a member of their staff is clearly at fault and providing inaccurate information, is nothing short of appalling, especially in the current financial climate we are all struggling with.
Lady on the front desk today 28/8/22 was really friendly and helpful. No issues with the pool or facilities at all. Clean, good size and what you'd expect. Rules aren't enforced at all though. People entering the pool without showering first and others with shoes on in the area around the pool woth no shoe covers. Staff could be more observant over things like this.
Swimming facilities are shocking. Ever since i have been here a majority of the cubicles are out of order as they either do not have a door or lock, the shower facilities have now 1 working shower, which is a joke considering the volume of users on a swim lesson. Changing rooms are not clean and the toilets smell like urine everytime walking past. To get hold of a member of staff when calling is non existant. Better off going elsewhere if you can
I went to foxhollies leisure centre this week, I asked the receptionist for directions to get to physio, but I wasted 10 minutes trying to find where it was located. It has not been clearly sign posted. I felt as though i was disturing the receptionish. I have prevously used their facilities and found them to be adequate. I have been there recently and I have that the receptionist was very friendly and knowledgeable on the services that they offer. I have recently been working out at the gym for health care and body fitness and I found that the equipment is in very good condition and quality. There's always wipes and spray where you can spray equipment before use and the gym always is clean and staff in the gym area friendly and knowledgeable.
Easy parking. The gym is great. Plenty of kit to exercise on. Nice friendly atmosphere too.
Holiday activities during the summer. Don't take your child to this place. Its pure torture. Staff discriminate the children and keep gossiping about them. The children there are bored to death, there is nothing to do. They are locked up in the room to stay there for one hour doing nothing. The kids keep fighting each other. Many of the children leave early because its not worth staying. Summer or holiday activities here are not worth it. The activities advertised on the website for the children are misleading and a fraud.
Great place for exercise, gym and other sport facilities. Zumba classes are brilliant and Aqua fit is ok but becomes very mundane. Changing rooms are not the best. Hardly ever cleaned during shifts and could definitely do with cleaning regularly especially post Covid!
Wow a lot has change at this leisure centre. swimming and a complete new gym. The only thing that is not available in this leisure centre is a sauna. There are lots of different classes during the week like yoga and aerobics. Really nice staff helping me out with gym equipment.
Really enjoyed my visit have not been for years. Forgot they had squash courts. Went for a Zumba class. Small group but very enjoyable. Will be going again.
