Good: -Ample parking in a tucked away location -Have badminton mats with clearly marked lines unlike other sport halls were there are multiple sports lines -Friendly reception staff Bad: -Lighting for badminton is a bit poor. The glare causes you to miss a lot of shots but tolerable -Bit on the higher side in terms of price compared to other sports centres in Birmingham, but not extortionate. -Online booking system membership runs out very quickly, you have to call reception to get them to extend it for a year. Overall a great facility for the local community. Clearly getting busier recently so may need to extend opening hours.
Well i hadn't picked up the old bat and ball for a while so it didnt go well for me but we couldn't of found a better place to play. Great clean courts, friendly staff excellent facilities and only myself to blame for the terrible performance The new regular
I visit this place once a week for No strings badminton and sometimes for the kids tennis and gymnastics. Staff are friendly and remember you and try to serve you as quickly as possible.
If you want to play badminton, I’d strongly advise against this centre. They use badminton mats on top of an existing tennis court so the floor slips when stopping. Poor lights not made for badminton, apparently they said they would fix this and is yet to happen. During the colder seasons, the playing hall is the same temperature as it would be outside as there’s no proper heating system if there is it’s very outdated Ceiling is too low for badminton, often times the shuttle will hit the slopes support beams above. All in all, find somewhere else to play as the management at this place is appalling.
Very nice place has facilities for indoor badminton and table tennis as well as indoor/outdoor tennis. Has big parking area. No need for membership to use those facilities. A subscription is required for the gym. Indoor tennis prices as of 31/3/22: 20.75£ 4pm onwards till 9pm Half price before that time. Slightly cheaper over the weekend. There’s around 5 tennis courts.
Regular at this place for playing badminton. Lights for badminton are pretty bad but otherwise lovely place
Great place to train and get back into form! Very remote and parking available. Easy to get there. Only downside is the light inside while playing badminton its bit too bright and which makes you miss shots but yeah that could be just me!!
I had not played at the centre for some years and so this was the first time I had seen the curtain arrangement on the balcony. This proved to be an excellent solution to the problem of being distracted by the lights on the other side of the balcony. The court surface is hard but it gives a secure footing. In an hour's intense hitting I cannot recall any bad bounces. The changing rooms are perfectly acceptable and there is amble parking. The staff members were friendly and welcoming. Do be aware that the sleeping policemen on the long driveway are of the teeth jarring variety so do drive carefully. My friend and I intend to play there again
Good tennis and badminton courts here. Easy to book online.
Had a fabulous time here. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
