Canton Chef

We have ordered from here for the last 5+ years although the woman is quite rude we love the food, but the last two weeks she has got the order wrong and tonight said we didn’t order prawn toast and we ordered prawn crackers, we have never ordered prawn crackers ever as we always get them free with our big order! We have been charged for them and she wouldn’t acknowledge that, her customer service is 0 she has lost a good customer !! You have replied with saying you have CCTV !!! How is this then when we have had it delivered ?? You could of simply resolved this for an outstanding customer with giving them the correct order but instead you have tried slating them and now there business in google , really you have never even used our business and because we have given you this review which was completely correct you have given a false review in ours, really sad to be far, to treat a really good customer in this manner !!!

Disappointed is an understatement..... We have used this take away for a number of years, but due to being unable to contact them at certain times where it appears the phone is of the hook, or very busy one time 78 times within the hour we decided to stop using them. On the off chance, used them last night. Again i'm sorry to say the food was very bland, either they didn't use any seasoning or MSG, but it was not very flavoursome. Add to that some tummy troubles for the wife and i this morning and into the afternoon. It's fair to say we won't be using them again.

Expecting around a 30 minute wait for my delivery but arrived in 20. Delivery guy was friendly and polite. Lady on phone took my order quickly,politely and accurately. Quite a while since ive ordered from here and she seems to have mellowed in that time. Now employs a calmer,friendlier and softer sounding tone of voice. Ordered special curry & chips. It was all very tasty even the chips. Curry sauce was a nice spicyness,consistancy and taste. Well packed with chicken,chinese pork and a few king prawns. Also a nice amount of onions and peas included. Only one thing i didn't like my extra portion of bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. Totally my own fault though because i had actually meant to order beansprouts which i love and not the bamboo shoots. So all in all very nice food and decentish price. Would gladly recommend and i'll be ordering from Canton Chef again in the near future. Gave the 5star rating because it was my fault i did'nt like the B.S's & W.C's because like i say i stupidly ordered the wrong items.

My favourite Chinese, never had a bad meal yet. Always red hot when I get it home or delivered.

The best Chinese take away around and we have tried several. We’re a little far away for delivery so we have to collect but it’s worth it. For some reason, this place closed over lockdown, so to get our fix we tried several other local places that were highly recommended to us by friends. Whilst they weren’t bad, they were not Canton Chef! I don’t normally take the time to review places, even when they’re amazing, but this place ticks all the boxes and deserves to be mentioned. Whenever we mention it to people, they don’t know where it is or haven’t even heard of it! Reasonable prices, decent portions, fresh and probably most importantly consistent. Yet to have a bad meal, and can count the number of times there’s been a mistake with the order on my hand in few years we’ve been ordering.

Never had a bad meal from here. Good size portions too.

Husband ordered sweet n sour pork cantoneae style for the first time from here, he got sweet n sour pork balls in batter then it was covered in the sauce, he has this regular from other places and it doesn't come like that usually, it's just sliced pork, Think they had just done battered pork and put it in sauce, the batter was soggy.. Don't think we will go there again

Worst food ever. The chow mein that I had did not even satisfy my taste buds but to leave a horrible after taste was just an insult for the price I paid for my meal. I found a hair in my chicken and pork chow mein and to make things worse the chicken was boiled not fried and the meat was just fatty and digusting, The portion of salt and pepper king prawns was over salted and to make things worst when i did get the taste of prawn it was vile and tasted out of date. Prawn crackers were too thin and plain. Never again I will suffer from this insult of spending over £10 on what was essentially crap.

1st time we've used them in a while and we loved it. Family of 6 to eat for under £30, bargain aswell, will highly recommend.

If I could give 0 stars I would, absolutely disgusting, all 3 meals binned, and I feel really sick after the few mouthfuls I did have. No taste at all
