Disgusting food. Paid £7.10 for 'special' fried rice. Not worth 70p and it was flat cold when collected! Kids meal sent wrong gravy is disgusting and tastes of nothing. No chicken in the the kids chicken balls what a disgrace. Ordered online so they don't want to know. Spent £30.20 what a joke. FURTHER UPDATE - don't use food hub. They sub contract to datman who I've been dealing with for 4 days trying to get my refund. Not heard anything from them so I rang today again and told them if I didn't get my refund I would contact my bank and make a fraud claim. They said the if the takeaway didn't get back to them they'd issue my refund. In less than an hour they rang me and conveniently the takeaway won't issue a refund and I have to go and see them directly. I rang the takeaway on Sunday when I got my order and they told me I needed to contact the app. Absolute joke!
Took 1 hour 40 minutes to be delivered. The delivery driver must of had the carrier bag strapped to the roof from the minute it left the kitchen. I’ve never had brain freeze from a Chinese before so for that I’ve been gracious enough to give them a star. The crispy chilli beef had no flavour and was more like soggy chilli beef. I could go through everything we ordered and rate that but I haven’t got a spare 3 hours. Definitely will not be ordering from here again, it’s a sorry shame
Fantastic service. Food was hot and so delicious. One of the best takeaways I’ve had in a long time. Will definitely be going back.
Received my food at Sun Sun House about 5-10 mins after ordering face to face at the counter.I was disappointed though when i began eating my "special curry & chips" I thought the chips had very little flavour if indeed any at all. This was combined with the texture of the chips reminding me of cardboard. Very firm and chewy and im sorry to say they were definitely some of the worst chips ive ever purchased. Although this problem seems to be the case with most "take-away chips" today & not just limited to " The Castle Chinese Take-Away". However most chip shop chips seem to be of a higher standard. The sauce did'nt taste too bad though tbh & infact was of a nice consistancy,correct spiceyness and very tasty. The meat would also have benefited from a slightly reduced cooking time in my opinion as it was a little overcooked for my own personal tastes. This could just be me been too picky and over critical though.There was actually a very generous portion of assorted meat in the curry pork,chicken,beef,king prawnsaswell as onions and tbf i have to say the most meat i've ever had in any Chinese take away. Overall i would say the meal was well priced,better than average and i would order from there again. Also i would have given a 3.5 stars rating if it had been possible.
Second time of ordering from here. 1st time was OK, but everywhere has off days so we tried again tonight. We will not be returning. The food was tasteless and not edible. It went in the bin. When phoning up to give feedback they arnt bothered. It's like they've had your money so they arn't bothered. Will not be returning!!
Well over an hour after ordering for a delivery 2mile away and get told oh well be another 30mins it's because your so far away wow I hope the food worth it cos the customer service stinks
I have bought from sun sun for years and I must say tonight was the worst food I have ever tasted in my life, and when I phoned up to complain the lady on the phone was really disrespectful and very rude. We always spend anything from £13- £20 but will never order from them again. Asked for mushrooms in my meal to literally get 1 mushroom cut in half and when I asked where the mushrooms was told me that it is only 50p extra for mushrooms. I told her I had 2 small quarters of a mushroom so she replied no the chef said he put 4 mushrooms in, which was a total lie and asked for peas and no word of a lie could have counted on 2 hands. Never ever will Order from hear again absolutely disgusting food and appalling owner
Best Chinese take away in the area we've tried a few others but always end up going back to ordering from sun sun
I actually made an account just to write this, not normally a karen but what on earth have i spent £30 on?? hairy chicken, had to have 10 gallons of water to subsidise how dry it was. Sweet and sour sauce tasted like waterd down ketchup. Absolutely nasty. Chips were best part, chicken was just batter no chicken in it!
One word. FABULOUS.Food: 5/5
