Popped in late afternoon for a quick pint while walking through the village. The place was empty but it was between food serving hours so it's understandable. The barmaid was pleasant and the bar while dark was well presented and welcoming. The beer garden was a bonus plenty of benches to choose from and dog friendly and best of all no smoking or vaping allowed in the garden. Those that wished to do so had designated smoking area in the large car park. Hopefully I will be back for food soon and update my rating and review. Parking: No smoking/vaping location.
Only had a drink there. It's a bit on the pricey side. Had a look at the menu, looks very nice and will think about going for a meal soon. Dog friendly, large beer garden and excellent table serviceService: 5/5
If you’re sight seeing in the new forest and looking for a pub lunch this is well worth a visit . Small plates of top quality pub food for a tenner and wildlife ambling by in the background , the scene is set
The pub/restaurant is nice and friendly and a great location. Outside beer garden is big and dog friendly. Toilets are immaculate and clean to a high standard. It was early afternoon so was quite as expected. All in all niceService: 4/5
This pub is a truly excellent place for drinks and food. Both inside and out earing areas are great. The range of food is good and the quality superb. Prices reasonable as well. The location is excellent just within a short walk of being in the forest trails themselves. And to top it off you'll get to see the New Forest donkeys and ponies if you're lucky outside..
I had a nice ploughman's, very nice piccalilli and artisan crusty baguette. Lovely attentive service too.
Different treatment service: British client go first,even though if they have arrived later,there's always plenty of food for them. Tourist customers, I am very sorry for you but we don't take order anymore even though if you sat on the table much earlier, please note at 1.15 pm. Well , I would say outstanding customer service!!
Lovely country pub, friendly service and dog friendly. Generous portions and my liver was delicious with scrumptious veg.
A beautiful pub with a lovely garden in the New Forest. The staff were amazing. Helpful with local information. The food was lovely. The Grapefruit, Cashew Nut and Fig salad was very nice. A lovely place to relax after a days walking.
Amazing. A great country pub in the heart of the new forest. Very warm welcome by the attentive staff. Fantastic food, all quality locally sourced and good portion size. The pub is very cosy and homely and very clean with high covid cleanliness standards. Good selection of drinks and food and prices are very good for the quality of the food, can't wait to go back.
