Really lovely pub. Menu a little limited probably due to economic situationbut excellent food but too much for me. We all enjoyed our meals. My friend had the vegan fish and chips we had the fish and chips. Highly recommendFood: 5/5
We called on the off chance of a table this Sunday. We were extremely lucky as somebody had cancelled . This is one of the best Sunday roasts we have ever had . My wife had lamb and I had beef. Presented beautifully and served promptly. Staff attentive, service prompt. Would suggest if you haven't eaten here you are missing out and need to experience great food. Will definitely return .
Lovely setting, friendly service, excellent food. Thank you Annette, Paul and Debbie. First visit to this pub, recommended by friends we met while cruising. What a warm and friendly welcome, I immediately felt ‘at home’. Debbie served us with such enthusiasm and warmth, we were only having a drink but soon changed our minds. The platter of cold meats/ salami we requested to have cheese as well, lovely salad garnish. Wonderful, plentiful and tasteful, excellent and very satisfying for us two big eaters. We shall definitely be back and highly recommend. 1/12/2022 Had a lovely lunch today and finally met Paul, chef patron. Lovely ambiance, beautiful food, lovely, friendly & professional service. Thank you.
Friendly hosts, food was fresh and above average, I had the burger. Very accommodating staff for me and my 3 year old. Not particularly busy but it deserves to be. Onion rings were really fresh and I like that. Wish they still served Ringwood ales but hey, the local Downton ale was lovely. Noticed they do vegan fish and chips which is great to see.
Lovely village pub near to Breamore House. The pub is nicely laid out inside with excellent food and a selection of locally brewed beers. Paul the Chef and the staff are all very welcoming. The loos are very clean and you will be delighted with your experience should you decide on visiting this quaint village pub.
Friendly staff and great food. Made us feel welcome, and even took time out to interact a little with our little one he was very happy with the free jelly baby!. Lovely little pub, worth a great atmosphere, and decoration. Wish I could've spent more time enjoying more of the dishes and beers on offer!
Had lunch here and ate outside. The staff were all friendly and great covid precautions. We are vegetarians and we had enough to choose between. I particularly enjoyed the halloumi and garlic mushroom burger. We also had the camembert and tempura battered broccoli starters which were lovely. Dog friendly too. A lovely visit.
An excellent local pub in a pleasant little village specialising in good food. Packed with lunch diners when I visited. They also keep an good range of locally brewed real ales, all in perfect condition. My only slight criticism is that there appeared to be nowhere to sit for those who just wanted a drink - the focus is 99% on food it seems. That said, the staff were friendly and helpful, and said we could sit at any one of the outside tables, even though they all had "reserved" signs on. Definitely worth a visit again.
Nice place to eat and food was lovely but the staff was about as friendly as a dead person. Not once did they ask us if our food was okay and not once did they cone over and ask us if we would like a drink so we sat there all meal with a tiny jug of water which would be a generous gesture in a third world country!! Will definitely NOT be going back.
Everyone at the Cartwheel Inn are super friendly and very attentive to your needs. The food is just superb, a lovely menu to choose from, and a great variety of refreshments and alcoholic beverages. I'll say this to any critics of the Cartwheel, manners and politeness go a long way so put them into practice when your there, a simple please and thank you go a long way.
