Ordered a large fish and chips felt something sharp in my mouth when eating. Pulled out about 10 bones, never had this happen from any other chip shop. Clearly they don’t know how to debone a fish. Steer clear.
I can’t fault this place to be honest. Yes it’s more on the dearer side than what you pay for an average chippy in Wolves, but I do generally fink the quality is so much better than most. It’s the only place we will order fish from. It comes piping hot and fresh and the every deliver driver I’ve dealt with is pleasant.
Ordered online and stated a collection time. However, when I arrived my order was not ready. Apparently they do not start preparing the order until the customer arrives! Even though I had already paid online. Its a very busy fish and chip shop so ended up waiting 20 mins for my order. The food is nice overall but expensive. If you order online a cod fish cost £9 ... but if you go in store the menu on the boards state £7!! Not sure why this is? But I was not happy when I saw that!
Good portion size, the kebab meat and chips and battered sausage are both excellent from here ....delivery can take a while at times so better to pop inFood: 5/5
Absolutely diabolical the most shocking portion sizes ever seen will never use this place again paid 5.80 for a small kebab and chips and it arrived in a box the size of a cup with 2 strips of kebab they might as well wear a balaclava because it's pure robbery.. how they get custom is beyond belief would give zero stars if possible...and this is the opinion of everyone who ordered and wasted their money will never go back...update after a few hours stomach is in bits can not believe this place is open if you are constipated than feel free to use this place
We haven't had fish and chips for a long time and were recommended to use Fordhouses Chippy and I'm so glad I did I had 2 Chicken drum Sticks and a Roe while I waited for my fresh fish to be cooked I would highly recommend a takeaway from the thanksFood: 5/5
Passing through and decided to grab a small bag if chips.....Small being an understatement! Chips taste amazing but £1.80 for a handful of chips is disgusting. 2 star's for taste
Wouldn't even waste your money standards have gone down hill ordered a burger a week ago and the bun was burnt will attach photos when asked to send another burger & a portion of chips to go with it I was told id have to pay. Gave them another chance burger was stone cold and had hard bits in it, delivery driver was rude, Staff are rude, over price. Its embarrassing.
The prices are a little bit confusing and all over the place on the board. It states that there is a big fish option with chips. But in fact the chips were separate. I asked for 2 sides of chips for two fish and chips but wasn't given one of them it's a bit weird to order fish by itself. The staff were nice even though it was closing time taking the time to bring us napkins in the car. The portions were in fact big though. Just expensives.
Came here after work, no battered chips after eight? Which was very disappointing, staff clearly wanted to close, as they can’t be arsed! Standards should be high whatever the time of day it is! Chips were awful fish cake was very but very poor standard, mini fish was disgusting worst chippy I’ve been to by a long shot don’t waste your money!!!
