Folly Farm Cotswold Camping is a quiet family run site in the heart of the Cotswolds. It is in a designated “area of outstanding natural beauty” and is situated close to the villages of Cold Aston and Notgrove.

We welcome tents, caravans and motorhomes. Folly Farm Camping is only 2.5 miles from Bourton on the Water www.bourtoninfo.com. We are not far from the historic towns of Stow on the Wold and Winchcombe.

As well as cycling and walking there is horse riding, fishing and the Cotswold Farm Park nearby. South Cerney Water Parks which host a variety of water activities, and the Cotswold Wildlife Park near Burford are only 30 minutes drive from us.

Great location, lovely staff. Basic facilities but no complaints regarding cleanliness. I felt a bit hard done by having to pay an additional £1 for a shower - with a family of four over a 3 night stay this soon added up. Staff tell us that the new shower block (which is under construction) will feature showers at no extra charge. We were initially allocated a pitch over looking fields, which would have been nice but we asked to switch to a spot in among the trees near the house and this was so much nicer than the regimented lines of tents/caravans in the newer part of the site. We would (and probably will) stay here again.

Great little site. Made to feel very welcome by the attentive owners who took the time to chat with us each day. Facilities were kept clean, new building is nearing completion and will no doubt be great. Will definitely be returning.

Everything is lovely unless any sort of miscommunication comes up. If that happens (likely in a campsite with so many rules) the keepers become berserk and insulting beyond any proportion. Even though we did not break anything nor disturbed anyone, we corrected what we thought was permitted immediately when told and we apologised; but that did not stop them from being rude to us (children present). Unacceptable.

Booked here by accident, one night at the last minute with my family, i explained the mistake as soon as realised, and it was clear I hadn't blocked a pitch from someone else as they still had availability for those pitches. They however hid behind policy when asked for a refund and were more than happy to keep money they hadn't earned or been prevented from earning. They then failed to respond to emails and were impossible to contact via the phone numbers provided (both in advance and after a booking). In my opinion they acted totally unreasonably and have lost a lot of good will as a result. As I live in this area I will be staying well away from this business and be unflattering about it if asked by friends and colleagues about places to stay and camp in the area.
