My partner booked here 23/01/2026 with Motorhome. Plots are spacious and a good space between others. There is also huts, Cabins and Apartments, looked nice. Staff friendly, Welcoming and helpful on arrival. We walked around the site, nice little walk and you can also walk into woodland. There is a really nice sized swimming pool which also has 2 Jacuzzis and a Sauna, there is also a chair to assist anyone with disabilities, good showers, lockers, and a swimming costume, shorts dryer. They do activities, but best to chat with reception on what is happening and what days and times. The bar/restaurant is nice and big with plenty of seating. Drinks reasonably priced and good selection. We didn't eat but food did look nice. They hold Theme nights as well and at a good price. There is a cafe and a little shop. Kids play area. Really enjoyed this site and going to go back. It's situated in Lydney Parkend in the Forest of Dean.
Stayed here with the family, we tried one of the Mega Pods XL which was new for us. The location and on-site facilities are great. Pool, cafe, shop, restaurant, entertainment all great. Pool is warm, cafe has great coffee and cakes, shop is small but has all the basic stuff and the restaurant food is really good breakfast and dinner. The site is beautiful walked into the woods and it was stunning. The camping pod was ok too small for 4 people, it sleeps 4 people but 4 people was too much with the dog aswell, it is more like camping. The underfloor heating wasn't working but site gave us heaters which worked absolutely fine. Staff are kind and friendly, gave us a dog package on arrival. The area is great loads to do in the Forest of Dean. Would definitely stay again but probably in an apartment or lodge. If your a couple or like camping pods are a good choice. Overall had a lovely stay at Whitemead. Sorry I didn't take more pictures!
We stayed at Whitemead Forest Park in Lydney during February half‑term and had a lovely weekend overall. The setting is great for families, with lots to see and do. The adventure trail takes you around the site and highlights lovely spots like the stream, river and lakes near the woodland lodges. It was muddy when we visited, so bring wellies!nThe facilities were great and the pool was lovely. The Wildboar Coffee Shop is perfect for drinks and cake, but for meals it’s best to eat in the Forester’s Bar, as any food ordered from Wildboar is carried over from there. Crazy Golf was good fun £6 for an adult and a child goes free, and the staff at the venue desk were friendly and helpful.nOur apartment No. 50 needed some attention — food under the table, smeared windows, hairs in the sink and around the toilet, and a blocked shower drain. Despite that, it’s a lovely park with good facilities, friendly staff, and we’d happily return in our own caravan or campervan.
It was a cold wet weekend in January when we stayed in our motorhome. Pitches are gravel and a good enough size. Plenty of walking and cycling trails. Good clubhouse with a good assortment of beers on tap. Food looked good but didn't eat there. We used the gym, sauna, steam room and swimming pool, which are all included in the price. We will definitely return, maybe for one of the tribute nights.
We stayed in our touring caravan so did not need to use the accomodation on site.nThe facilities were brilliant!nA very clean, well maintained pool and changing facilities.nFood choice of entertainment for kids.nMy son enjoyed the sea scooter - thanks Matt, lifeguard for making it fun. And the slime making - thanks to Sarah for making it fun!nThe Foresters bar and the Wild Boar cafe served lovely food, and the bar staff were friendly. Sorry i don't remember all of the names, but Maddy was one of the kind, smiley staff members.nBeing next to the forest was great for getting out on bikes and quiet walks, without having to drive anywhere!nWe look forward to returning.
