Nice place with helpful friendly staff. The cottages are very nice, with proper heating and fully equipped kitchens. A lot of them do not have step free access though, so ask when booking if you have any mobility issues. The food at the inside restaurant is also pretty good. There are some steep steps down to the pool which could prove an issue for the less mobile. Lovely walks in the area, plus a steam railway pretty much next door. I've enjoyed my time here with no problems or issues whatsoever.

A lovely place to visit, and looks great since the refurbishment. The pool is also fantastic. The new restaurant isn’t anything particularly special and I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit just for a meal, but would be fine option if you were a guest staying at the park for a few days.

Lovely site, 5 of us plus pooch stayed in a log cabin. Plenty of space and comfortable. The site has an indoor swimming pool and bar and restaurant. They also have activities for little ones, such as teddy bear making. A great break.

It's great to have such good facilities on the doorstep. Tribute nights are such good value and great fun. Lots of things to do. A good size restaurant. Play area for kids. Pool good. Grounds fantastic.

Myself and my family decided to have a girly afternoon and treat our elderly aunt who is visiting from London to afternoon tea. While the staff were lovely, we felt that the experience wasn't the best. There were only 2 different fillings in the sandwiches, cheese and cucumber and ham and tomato which although were ok, was nothing special. 4 sandwich fingers each, lemon drizzle cake and blueberry sponge (both of which were very nice) chocolate cake, a macaroon and a little cream dessert pot and a scone that was really dry with the smallest amount of jam and cream I've ever had at an afternoon tea. On the whole not a disaster but could definitely be improved.
