Welcome to The Museum of Cambridge! Come along to discover and celebrate the diverse stories of Cambridge, its surroundings and its people in your friendly local and social history museum.
Housed in the former White Horse Inn, the Museum was set up in 1936 by leading members of the town and university with the aim of interesting “the ordinary citizen in aspects of local social life which were fast disappearing in Cambridgeshire”, an ethos which we still hold to today.
Experience the wonderful and varied collections of domestic and work life in nine warm room settings. Revisit the toys from your childhood and the folklore of the area. Enjoy the exhibitions and family friendly events throughout the year that bring the displays to life.
