I volunteer here a great place to come and contribute. The oldest house in Cambridge.

An interesting mix of old farm machinery and information on methods. There was a nice example of a typical  farm labourer house, and of course the old Abbey too. The staff were really friendly and very enthusiastic. Not enough to look at for a whome day, but a nice half day trip.

Fascinating farmland history. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good value

An English Heritage site where the history of agriculture in the England is showcased. There's also a ruined Abbey and you can stroll inside. Make sure to visit if you are around Ely or Cambridge.

A lot of the area was closed re Covid19. No entrance fee. Easy parking. Picnic table and chairs to eat at.

Tells an 850 year story of farming, communities and life in the Cambridgeshire Fens. A family friendly museum located in a beautiful, rural setting close to Cambridge.

Lovely place not overly big but nice to look round on yesteryear..

Great place to visit. Not a very large site, so don't expect to spend all day here. However there are other English Heritage and National Trust sites nearby.

Good value for money. Farmland museum was interesting. The abbey has been carefully looked after to preserve the original structure as much as possible. Tea room and 2nd hand book shop. Car park.
