Thanks to the gentleman Mr Amin that kindly led us through the museum and explain the history of this centuries old perfume house founded in 1730. It is a pleasure to explore the scents and each with a story to tell and imagination to fill. Lovely experience.
Amazing experience! The perfumer took the time to have us choose our fragrance ingredients to create the perfect signature fragrance. My husband and I created this for our anniversary. What a memorable gift!
The leather oud smells incredible. First time I visited the store, there was a very friendly gentleman who convinced me to make a purchase. The second time I visited to pick up my order I ordered online, the store was full of young staff who were absolutely cold, and behaved like they were models waiting for a catwalk. 4 stars for the quality of the perfume and history, and for the good service on my first visit. But I hope that service will be consistent.
Top shelf service and quality products. The store is incredibly beautiful. Salesmen/staff were extremely helpful, kind, and easy to deal with. I dealt with an early 50s Italian fellow who was pure class. I liked him so much I bought more than I needed as gifts for a few folks back home. Strongly recommend!!!! Their scents are better than anything we have in the States.
I had the bespoke perfume experience and what a fantastic experience it was. I was a little nervous but I was put ease by one of staff by showing me the little museum which I appreciated before my appointment. The perfumer was amazing helping me choosing my fragrance can’t thank her enough. Looking through the old ledgers and seeing all the names from royalty to film stars was unbelievable
I am writing this for anyone who is considering purchasing a fragrance from Floris at their main shop in London! Just don’t do it, buy from established shops here in USA! When I requested an explanation about tracking information I was emailed almost identical responses, absent concrete information, I received two emails promising me two day FedEx express delivery missing were definitive delivery dates! There are good and bad here at the same time. Really depends on luck and who you see. The staff and the bespoke experience can be very good also can be horrendous. I encounter good staff and perfume maker here also encounter very rude, arrogant, unprofessional, clumsy and just all around raise voice/shouty people here. Depends all on luck. I advise that if the staff isn’t good just come back later and when you are designing a bespoke perfume don’t forget it’s YOUR perfume not the perfume makers perfume.
We are from Portugal and both me and my partner are perfume enthusiasts and have a great collection already. Floris isn't available in our country so the house was under my radar for so long. Couldn't miss the opportunity to go there once we both decided to come to London for a perfume hunt. Unfortunately we didn't had a good experience at the store. The store is beautiful in itself, but we were expecting to be approached and offered a introduction to the house and fragrances since we usually have that experience on other stores/boutiques/fragrance houses. The staff did not approach us at all and we were left alone to explore the brand on our own even when we were the only costumers on store. We didn't felt compelled to ask anything to them since they didn't seem very interested in us. In the end we approached the staff since we wanted to purchase 2 bottles of perfume. I love the brand and the perfume and my partner was convinced and ended enjoying the fragrances as well. Unfortunately the experience was a bit tainted but the quality of the perfumes spoke for itself, hence 3 stars. Will cherish and enjoy our new perfumes and hope for a next visit to discover the brand further. Edit: We visited the store yesterday, 24 February, around 5pm
Visit in London is not complate without shopping expierence at Jermyn st. and Floris is a true Embassy of frangrance. We go back every year to resupply. This spring our choice was: newly introduced Wild inspired by legendary Oscar Wild, [citrus ,amber] and honey aud [gourmand, amber] for me and cherry blossom [floral, fruity] was my wife choice. If you feel a bit lost and overwhelmed or need profesional advise please ask Joanna in my opinion one of the best expert in the field. She will be your guide, giving tailored, professional advise, matching frangrance with your style, character and preferences. True expert and polish native speaker. Thank you Floris and looking forward next year shopping.
Hands down one of the best experiences I ever had while shopping for a gift. The aroma in the store when you first enter takes you away from the industrial scenery of London, and eases you in. The staff are very professional and knowledgeable with their perfumes, and the way that they help you try and find the right perfume is almost equivalent to a wine tasting in a vineyard. A little pricey but not only are the fragrances so unique and aromatic compared to other perfumes, the bottle itself is well built. I bought one of their new perfumes for my friend as a Christmas gift and she loves it. 100% would come back here again.
