Don't ever be tempted to use Wickes for a new kitchen. We had a terrible experience - our plumbing was mis-installed, and when our installer came back to fix it, he damaged our kitchen in the process. He also didn't fix it. When we complained to Wickes, they told us the damage was there beforehand. It wasn't. You'll notice a lot of Wickes replies to these reviews along the lines of "we're so sorry to hear this! Please reach out!". This is pure PR - actually reaching out results in you getting ignored, gaslit, or both. If they put as much effort into their kitchens as they do their social media, they might even do a competent job. EDIT: As predicted - got in touch with Scott below, and he did absolutely nothing.
Absolutely unprofessional branch manager with name Andrew , I hope someone lying that say he is, cuz I’m not clue have he be came at this job. Remember Andrew, customer always right :
Excellent branch of Wickes. We live nearby and have used them for many years. I haven’t experienced any issues with staff in over 10 years I’ve lived here. There’s also a great selection of garden plants by the front entrance at very decent prices. Someone should water them now and again, though, as they dry out quickly in the summer heat and become necrotised.
I got in touch with Wickes regarding fitting my new bathroom in March 2021. I was working with Sadia who was lovely, knowledgeable and helpful for the many months we worked together. When it came to the fitting…..what an absolute mess, as you can see. My first mistake was I had a job abroad so I trusted this fitter Lee Martin to get this done. It’s a small bathroom and he also agreed to do a partial kitchen fit for me too. If you are allocated him, please make sure you watch him at every second. He left my wall crumbling, my bathroom door damaged, my radiator wonky, my bathroom flooring unsecured under a metal partition strip. As for the kitchen, he cut the plinths horrendously and left them with gaps. He also left the electrics in a state. He wasn’t being paid to do electrics but the way it was left - as you can see - was a hazard. When I brought this to a Wickes attention, my only option was for this same man to come back. Why on earth would you send the same incompetent person back? I have asked and asked for someone new. I told Lee and Sadia clearly my kitchen plans - both have accused me of lying despite having evidence. I have offered to hire someone else to fix all the snagging and deduct the amount - Wickes have declined. March to September- all that work to shoddy work and shoddy customer service. NEVER use Wickes. Definitely not the blackheath branch. Use gumtree or Taskrabbit to find fitters. How Wickes can be happy with this quality is beyond me.
Always friendly and helpful staff on hand. Shelves are always stocked. Great to have the place so close to our home.

No staff on the floor, but the till staff was happy to help, and very friendly. Had what I needed and was in and out in 10 minutes. Would recommend
We weren’t sure which nails to buy for the appropriate weight of the frames we were putting up. So we asked a staff member. He was incredibly rude - very condescending and made it seem like our fault for not being clued up. Even a 2nd staff member backed us up saying well they’re asking because they’re not sure. Not everyone is a tradesman. Made us reluctant to come back.
Products are good, but designers only have a very outdated software and looks completely different from simulation. Delivery is definitely worst part, absolutely no communication and things randomly appear whenever the delivery company decides
