Well, after all those false starts over the past few years, it's a big welcome back to Flints Bar. They've done a marvelous job with the decor both interior and exterior. Plenty of comfortable leather Chesterfield's. I'd really only popped in for a nose and to take a few photos but it looked far too inviting to rush off so sat down to enjoy a cup of tea. Couldn't even fault that. Gets my thumbs up.

Excellent decor and good decking. However, it's very expensive, probably around £1.50-£2 a pint more than anywhere else in Mere Green and food quite basic for the price. They seem to be trying to attract a certain clientele with their prices, but realistically the football crowd will head to Birmingham. After the excitement of Flints reopening, I fear things may quieten down as people won't go back due to the more London prices and it again will fail. Nothing has lasted long in this site for years so they need to do something different. This is the 3rd venture with the same owners, it's twice failed before so they need to get it right this time. This might sound scathing, but it's really because I want it to succeed, dropping prices a little would help and would still keep the clientele (and more of them), at a level they would like. Love the live music though.

Newly opened as the original Bar Name. Great atmosphere, great live singer with modern choice of music. Followed by an upto date DJ. Great vibes, refurbed to a high standard. Lovely well furnished outside patio with heating that made it feel like a summers night on a wintery cold night. Make sure you check this place out, just what Mere Green needed. Your missing out if you dont pay it a visit. Open late aswell!
