We stayed at the hotel and spent two out of our three evenings at the bar as well. Unfortunately the hotel is not soundproof, and we could hear everything from the bar, the street and the room next to ours. We were not originally given the room with a balcony that we had paid for until we complained about the noise, which surprised us. However the staff was extremely kind and understanding and the service was perfect. Besides the thin walls, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The food of the bar was also flavorful and again the waiters were very kind and helpful. The roof garden is a must try. Nevertheless, the same music played on repeat all 3 evenings of our stay, both from their playlist as well as by the live performers which was a shame. But the musicians are very talented and the bar was lively and fun. Walkability: Located in a pedestrian area, the entrance to the hotel is on the other side of the bar, facing the river
If you're going for the nighttime music and drinks scene, this can be a fun place. Be prepared for a crowd and busy bar areas. It was better upstairs until later in the night when they began to close everything but the bottom floor. We stayed a good while, had drinks, listened to good live and DJ music, and left.Location: 5/5
9.60 for a pint of the plain. a truly remarkable moment for the country. cocktails cost a mortgage also, and the cocktails are very mediocre for quiet the average list on offer! can’t wait to go back for my sorrows! Next thing you know the baby guinness will be 9.60 but hate to give ye any good ideas!
We stopped by for breakfast and it was great. For less than 15€ per person, we had the full Irish breakfast with sausages, beans, bacon, white and black pudding, tomato and eggs. Toasts, coffee and orange juice are complimentary so you can have a great meal in the center of the Temple Bar area without spending a lot of money. Service is ok, everyone was very kind. There is a rooftop lounge that's very interesting too.
really good place, very central and with the bar just great. Breakfast is good and the staff friendly. However, the windows in the rooms are not well sealed, you have the feeling the windows are open in terms of temperature but they are closed. it really depends on the volume. I can recommend it. good value for money.
The hotel itself is alright although the rooms are small for the price. However, it is absolutely impossible to get a restful night of sleep. The experience of being in a room at night is not unlike sleeping right on the street. Within the room, there is no protection from the noise from the outside bar or from the other guests. If I wanted to sleep inside of a club, I would just do that.
There wasn't much special about this pub. But I am beginning to think I didn't love the temple bar area. It's very touristy but that is Dublin. I guess. They did have good live music during the day, on a Monday, so that was a plus.
Great pint, with some very good music. The food looked very good as well. The bar had plenty of choice, and there was plenty of seating.Service: 5/5
Excellent customer service and location. Clean rooms. Right on temple bar near every possible amenity. Perfect for a weekend trip to Dublin.Rooms: 5/5
Such a great place to go to while you're in Dublin! A lively pub with a wide range of choices of drinks, along with live music of local bands - makes a perfect evening! Temple Bar is not just a bar it’s a whole street full of bars and restaurants alive and full of people all day long.
