I visited Fitness First Solihull after not being here for many years I am an ex member but now no longer live in the area. The club seems to have really levelled up. They have even more kit than they use to. There is still plenty of space, and the icing on the cake is that the staff are super friendly, approachable and couldn't do enough to help you. James, Will and Joy were the three members of staff I interacted with, and they were prime examples of good, happy energy and top class customer service. I will be visiting again when I am back in the area for sure!
Well equipped gym, including women area, sauna, steam room and aroma therapy room. The gym is well maintained and well organised. Plenty of parking space available. Staff are great a'd customer focused.
By far the best gym , amazing vibe and the instructors are super professionals...Big shout out to James gym manager for his professionalism and for being a great instructor, you are guaranteed a good sweat attending his classes. Nat is another brilliant instructor, she is that one instructor who doesn’t play and there to train you and will push you to get out of your comfort zone. I love it there so much
It's an OK gym, and the staff were very friendly. However, the lighting in the car park at night is very poor and I did not feel safe. Also, they have a daily booking system for the classes which starts at 7am. For example, if I want to book a class for next Sunday I have to ensure I get up at 7am the Sunday before to book it on the app. Personally this did not work for me due to my work schedule, and I found certain classes i.e. Body Pump are extremely popular and all the spots get taken quickly i.e. even when I logged in at 08.30am on the app. You sort of have to plan your life around this gym, and get up every day at 7am to book your classes so I cancelled my membership as I need something more flexible.
Not good gym. Showers are always broken, no hot water, no shower gel or soap. Sauna and steam regularly broken. Drinking water taps broken. The gym takes advantage of being the only gym to provide sauna/steam in the area. Members regularly complain but no action is taken. To FF, if you respond to this feedback please confirm when the above will be fixed, don’t sidestep the question. UPDATE 16/06/24: FF and James the manager have resolved the above issues now. This gym has been going strong for 20+ years. Yes it is in need some TLC here and there but the team that run the club are an absolute pleasure and always go above and beyond. They are so helpful and friendly. The classes here are superb! Brandon the Fitness Manager is by far the nicest man I have yet to meet. The spa facilities work great so please disregard the negative reviews about the sauna it's the best working sauna I've been in! What gym doesn't have facility issues from time to time! Honestly if you want a gym that has it all this is for you : 5 stars!!!!!
Good gym with parking, and able to get most of the machines you want even near peak times Staff are friendly and helpful, Only downside for me is they are maybe lacking some benches and multiple sets of dumbbells, so free weight exercises may take longer. Also changing rooms often have a strong smell
Nice gym with moderate number of equipents, sauna and steam. However in terms of negotiating membership, the branch team is not so helpful. The Head office was helpful
My husband has only attended 1 month we try calling an was told to let it finish in March as my husband is 75 years old an I've asked her to cancel it in March an was told it would be done, I've tried call an ask to speak to a Manager on duty an was told no one is there we've tried to go online but the emails keep on bounced back can someone please get in touch as it's very frustrating an no one to reach out to please Mr Lyons thank you.
Decent gym. Staff are friendly and not overly busy at peak times. Quite a variety of classes, boxing studio, separate class studio. Ladies only section could be better- limited equipment and small.
