Broken female sauna several weeks, broken plunge pool over a month/also really dirty, broken body hub machine three months. Outdoor pool and spa area are so dirty and it really smells by the pool on hot days. Lots of showers have broken temperature controls. Lots of dirt around jacuzzi area, came out of the jacuzzi last week and there was chewing gum on my legs and my swim suit as well as my partners swimming shorts. Raised this and have had my swimming costume replaced with one from the front desk shop, but not my partners. The whole area is still really dirty. Emails asking when things will be repaired and requesting that outdoor pool is cleaned are just ignored. Why aren’t maintenance addressing these issues immediately? I signed up three months ago and this is not the service I was expecting and certainly does not reflect the fees we are paying. We really enjoy the classes and the outdoor area but this is not worth the huge fees in my opinion. Just be informed when you sign up. Leaving a review here in the hope that action is taken, hoping the outdoor pool is cleaned at the very least, my emails are having no impact!
I recently joined David Lloyd Clubs in Cranmore, Solihull. Beforehand, I was given a tour of their club. They were very informative and answered every question I asked them. Since then, I’m having a great time here! There's something for everyone such as; Gym, Swimming Pools, Classes, Bar/Restaurant and Tennis Courts, just as a few of many examples. The facilities are beautifully maintained and cleaned everyday. The staff are so welcoming and friendly towards their members. I really can't find anything at fault here! Even though David Lloyd is pricier compared to the other gyms within the Solihull area, you’re getting a lot out of your membership and I’m looking forward to spending at least 3 days a week here!
I had a meeting today with Jasmine and as I said straight away she is an old head on a young set of shoulders. I have a disability which means that me joining a health club has it’s complications but she had done her research and was incredibly professional, articulate, knowledgeable, patient and kind. I could list lots more, but I would be truly grateful if you could both pass on my thanks and give her the credit she deserves. I would also like to mention Sophie your deputy manager who was the first member of staff I met and gave me an instantly positive impression with her manner, kindness and professionalism. Greg Weston
Giving 1 star as there is no option of giving 0 or negative star, else I would have done that. When you join the membership sales staff will be available immediately, will convince to you join, even if by providing misleading and incorrect information. Once you have joined they disappear. My daughter was unethically sold the membership and despite of 3 visits and multiple emails matter is not resolved. I am now ready to escalate it to their CEO and ready to go to ombudsman if needed.
I started another David Lloyd and was not happy, that I wanted to cancel within a month. I asked about transferring to Solihull though there was a price increase, but it was the best decision I made. The whole team is amazing, the facilities and how inviting it is, if you have kids. I can't fault this club at all. It is a warm, welcoming and friendly environment. They think as though they're the customer to ensure you're happy. I'd recommend it if you're reading this.
The club is sadly woeful which is an understatement to say the least! There are more broken/ rusting pieces of equipment than currently working & the place is starting to represent a museum where you can look but not touch! Last night I counted 6 treadmills, 3 ski ergs, 2 stair masters & a rowing machine that were all out of action plus a rusting smith press machine & leg press the place is an absolute joke. The humidity from the indoor pool is probably a contributing factor which doesn't help if the equipment isn't maintained regularly. If this is meant to be a flagship clubwhich is always trotted out in the annual membership price hike email I would hate to see the lesser options in the portfolio! Stop ripping us off and start giving your members value for money!!
I had no luck with Cranmore's DL. I only suffer from them. A place that I thought would relax me after 50 hours of work a week makes me yearn. Their communication is the worst in the world. They don't respond to emails. They don't care about solving the problem, they just need to maintain the attitude that "nothing can shake us". I received a fine in the parking lot and nothing was resolved. To this day, I'm still trying to understand when that machine for recording car license plates came about. Now I found out. Those mummies who stay at the reception don't even inform you for a while that now they have to register the car at the entrance. The rubbish sign that the NPC put up in the parking lot, now I read it, doesn't say how long I can use the parking lot. You can see that this Club brings out the worst in me. Unfortunate. Be careful when joining this club. You will have many surprises if you are not there often and read all the warnings scattered along the way. You will have no email and no letter. And you for yourself. Fight bravely.
Make sure you get any agreement in writing, we live in the UK and overseas and were promised to be able to suspend the membership for free when we are not living in the UK. This is utter rubbish, the sales people will tell you anything they want you to hear to get you to join and then subsequently apply different policies just to squeeze money out of you. The club is happy to deal with you locally until you join and then once you join they hide behind a call centre and so they are unable to help. There are plenty of other clubs and hotels that offer the same facilities but a better standard of service.
