It's one of those places to which you will always return for more. The food is very delicious and fresh with options for both vegans and vegetarians. The place has four tables outside where you can enjoy your food, but they also have tables inside where you can wait for your takeaway or just simply dining in their restaurant. The whole place has a very 'fishy' vibe and will make you hungry instantly. The staff is very friendly and I've noticed they call the cook 'chef'. Definitely recommend the Fish House. ! Vegetarian options: Many options. Kid-friendliness: Like any other place. Parking: Not available.

A place where you enjoy a large variety of very tasty fish dishes...A bit overvalued but let's not forget that the place is within the Village Park village, i'll visit it again and again...
Wow! Battered sausage and chips were crisp but not greasy and the curry sauce was absolutely electric! I was served by a lovely staff member named Stella who was quick to help with everything and had a nice chat with me. I can’t wait to try the fish next time I come back! Restaurant prices but cafe service. Fish fresh and tasty but could have been a little bigger. Food OK but can't really say it's worth the money to sit in. There was no atmosphere at all when we were there. Waitress on the day had no interest in delivering a dining or customer experience.Food: 4/5

Really poor quality and way overpriced! I have visited a number of times over the years I am local but I often have to take a break because it is so, so... inconsistent. I have zero issue with paying a little more, but if I do, then I expect quality and a pleasant and competent member of staff to serve me. Tried the battered sausage x 2 £3 each and they were absolutely repellent, and not "fresh" contrary to the server's claim. Fish is too small and greasy, chips look like pale albino objects. They need to do better and stop taking advantage of the area and location... Staff are clueless and incompetent but I imagine they get paid peanuts so the owner can thrive. Avoid!
'A three star rating because after just eating there I am feeling nothing more than indifferent about this place. Just had a 'sit in' takeaway to save money as the empty restaurant looked way to dull and the prices were considerably higher. Food: seemed to be cooked to order as we waited 15 minutes but was nothing remarkable. Calamari was good but not even a lemon slice for a starter sized portion costing £12.80. Full order and cost will give you an idea of whether you think this is good value for a take-away. 1 x small cod and chips 1 x regular cod and chips 1 x calamari and chips 1 x mushy peas 1 x curry sauce I know! 1 x can of coke 1 x black tea, no sugar £2.80??? really Cost: £48.95 I will not be back and will not be passing on any recommendations for this place. Sorry Fish House but you are way to pricey for me......
You should be ashamed of yourself, if you have not been here before. I live on the other side of the river, and have no issues in my mind to travel in the 6 miles to get here. Everything is good on the menu haven't tried the vegan stuff but that's not my thing. Cod and chips with their unique in-house curry sauce. Long summer evening grab yourself something from there walk across into Victoria park and enjoy yourself
Really sorry to say but I think we had the worse portion of chips ever. They seemed like they had cold chips so they fried them again to heat them up and they were all so hard and so crispy. Lucky we had a sausage and a savaloy to eat as the chips went straight in the bin. The vinegar was watered down and the the refined salt you could just keep topping up and still nothing. Spoilt our walk in the park. Won’t be back. It’s a shame as we have used this fish house for years and we ain’t been for a while so we fancied a little treat.
