Awful service guaranteed. Once again paid for a ticket through the app for a bus that hasn’t showed up. Have to use the app because the drivers don’t know the available tickets. Lodged complaints that just don’t get responded to. Probably due to the amount they receive. Extortionately priced even if the service was half decent too. Generally woeful company. No wonder there are so many cars on the road!
They do the best they can with the resources they have available to them, they are the poor relation to their head office in Leicester but the refurbs on leek link are good. although a bit of a hodge podge of handmedowns mainly.
This morning to get to school on time by public transport was not possible at all. We live in Keele and every morning during the working week have to travel to Clayton Hall school. This morning we had a very nasty surprise to find out that the bus we usually take at 7:25am is no longer running and we just have missed the new 7:17am bus. Not only the time changes were not announced beforehand but the change itself just makes travel by bus in the morning not possible. Between 7 and 8am there is no other service. As we have to catch another bus from Newcastle bus station - we would miss it altogether. Today we went by taxi, but it is quite expensive luxury for every day commuting. You have not left us any other choice but to acquire the car adding to congestion, pollution and CO2 emission. And I have sincere sympathy with many other commuters using this route. I thought that public transport suppose to serve the public. I was completely wrong.
Waiting for one of your bus's which has not arrived yet. Tried to call first potteries but couldn't get through. Poor service.
Really needs to be scored zero, the service is totally inadequate my daughter catches the bus home from school a few days a week. They are never on time, don't stop when she puts her arm out, or just don't bother to turn up. For a parent who is at work and got a child on the other end of the phone panicking they can't get home is not good. Complained to many times to them but never get a response. They have changed the bus time recently so she's only got 6 minutes from end of school to get to the bus stop the next bus is not for another 30 minutes like I said before often don't turn up so an hour later can still be waiting, finally give up I ve started paying for a taxi only £1.80 more and we'll worth it for the less stress and reassurance my daughter is home safe.
This bus service is mostly terrible for multiple reasons. For starters, the bus drivers are never on time. They either arrive too early, too late, and sometimes miss your stop entirely, even when you're literally standing right next to it. You just can't win most of the time. Second, when a bus eventually arrives out of the blue, the drivers you meet are a mixed bag. They can sometimes be pleasant or grumpy, and some of the them don't even acknowledge your existence, which proves how bad this service can be sometimes. If I could catch a 4/4A or 11/25 bus and arrive at work on time for at least a full week, that would be a first.
Busses never on time and will quite often not turn up at all. The amount of times ur had to wait at a bus stop for 45 minutes is staggering and 90% of the time the driver has no idea what they’re doing. Had a driver once that every 5 minutes would just up and stop for 15 minutes doing nothing making me late for work. I have been waiting outside of stoke college waiting for the 98 for an hour and no busses have shown up at all you’d think with it being mid day they would be more active but nope. Bloody shocking awful bus service.
I catch three or four buses each day from Cross Heath to Stoke and back, buses usually run late and on many occasions start before children or the elderly are properly seated. The drivers seldom help passengers. I've had to help elderly passengers use the step when clearly the ramp was needed. Also been refused travel several as people were standing in the gangway when seats have been available because the drivers say it's not up to them to make them sit. On the rare occasion the driver is helpful I try to make a point of thanking them.
Poor service- busses rarely turn up on time and often don't turn up at all. Prices have gone up significantly recently and the app is extremely poor. I use D&G buses when ever possible as this company is cheaper and more reliable.
Due to constant council public transport funding cutbacks the services from first are constantly being reviewed along with the other smaller providers , which means bus routes and the frequency of buses are being cut some areas of the city have no buses or a very limited service. I feel sorry for the drivers who are the ones at the front and often get abuse from the public due to the cuts, most of the drivers are generally ok. But as a unique city made up of individual area's what we need is a decent thinking council and a decent public transport company. Recently i have had to get the first bus from the City Centre to Hanley on a sunday morning 8.05am it supposed to leave Hanley, yet often it doesnt leave Hanley until gone 8.15, there is no traffic on the road from the depot to Hanley at this time in the morning i know because i live within seeing distance of the depot, if they cant get this bus on time whats the point. Some of the drivers are letting this bus company down big time.
