Finchley Central is a handy station, the layout is really straightforward and it’s the station for Northern line. The station itself is located in Finchley town center. When the weather is good, the view from the platform is really beautiful. It’s a solid, easy-in-easy-out station that gets you into central London in a reasonable amount of time.
My experience with the Ticket Machines Ticket Vending Machines / TVMs at Finchley Central station has generally not been very positive. On several occasions, the machines were either out of order or not functioning properly. Once, the machine even gave incorrect change, and because I was in a hurry, I had to leave it as it was.nnOverall, the reliability of these machines at this station is quite poor, which can be very inconvenient for passengers, especially when they need to top up their Oyster card quickly or are short on time.nnOn the other hand, the staff are polite and respectful, but their response speed is quite slow, and the overall atmosphere sometimes feels a bit sluggish and unenergetic. At times, staff members are not readily available to assist passengers.nnConsidering that the station also has a car park, in my personal opinion it might be beneficial to have a stronger security presence, especially in the evenings, possibly even police visibility to improve the sense of safety. This is just my personal view, and others may have different experiences.

Not enough disabled spaces and those there have a steep hill to climb to get to the station entrance. Thank goodness for the lift!
Great parking , wheelchair access , very good connection to London public transport , safe parking
