Swiss Cottage Underground Station is served by the Jubilee line there is no disabled access only stairs from the entrances and then escalators to the platforms. The ticket hall area is large with a circular layout to it there is a newsagents in the ticket hall along with a cash machine the station was clean and tidy and does it job well.
Interesting escalator leading above ground, with two different colour lamps illuminating the ceiling which is shaped like a concrete pillar.nThe station itself is a bit old, which is not uncommon for most underground stations in London with only the Jubilee line serving through here.
First time here yesterday and I liked that are they give you exit signs on where to go by foot. - Very helpful!nnThe Y13 bus did not have the alert speaker for every bus stop so had to look up online the bus route for my travel. Not sure if this is a permanent thing or temporary but needs to be sorted if it is! :PnnWhile on the bus I was passing through the o2 centre and a passenger on the bus heard me saying the name in conversation and said I was in the correct location! : So, friendly people in this area! Nice! :
It was my final destination of a long trip.. I'm learning how to use the underground . Pretty effective.
This is the station that was near my hotel and I was really glad for it. It was pretty quiet and calm the majority of the time I went to it. Easy to navigate.
