Avoid unless you want ripped off. Put my car in for a DPF fault and they wanted to charge for lots of other unnecessary work and wouldn’t even look at DPF unless it’s done because they said they couldn’t. Wouldn’t let me take car away until I paid £70 for a diagnostic and half an hours labour. I wouldn’t of minded paying for the £30 for the diagnostic but surely as in any other Garage I have used in 30 years the labour involved in a diagnostic is included in that price. Another garage fixed the DPF quickly and easily so will not go near this garage again and certainly wouldn’t recommend.

I would rate No stars if I could, Mechanics are nice but a short bald Management guy there is absolutely horrible and will shout/argue with you over simple jobs, He racks the price up to extortionate numbers for a simple quick job after quoting much lower and is very defensive and untrustworthy due to this. I wouldn't recommend this particular garage to anybody! He also slagged off a garage that is well known for being reliable and trust worthy, I would go into more detail but I expect him to personally argue with me on here as well. I can't speak for Kirkcaldy or Leven Centres but if he doesn't work in them then they are probably safe to use. Mechanics at this particular centre looked embarrassed by Him. This garage is being boycott By myself and all extended family and friends as they have heard of what happened and are shocked and now will avoid it for a more trust worthy/friendlier garages.

very surprised to see the reviews left for the glenrothes branch, as a family we have used a number of the branches throughout fife and found them all to be very helpful and fair priced. I have used eck and stevie at glenrothes for years great guys, keep up the good work and don't let the keyboard warriors get you down.

Wish I could give zero stars. Never in my life have I been so angry. This garage basically ripped my mum off. She put it in here for an MOT, the MOT was failed and Fife Autocentre quoted £742 plus 2 tyres on top of that for the required repairs!!! We felt that was far too expensive so took the fail certificate to other garages around glenrothes to get other quotes. Having gotten a quote elsewhere for the same work for £350 naturally as anyone in their right mind would do we decided to get the repairs done at this other garage. However when we went to get the car back a massive heated debate followed. My hard working Mum was forced to hand over £130 to get her car back from Fife Autocentre!!!! I argued “how the heck could she be due them £130 for an MOT (clearly states on their website £35)!!! The manager was very unreasonable, condescending and intimidating - says he charged an hours labour too and 2 bulbs!!! They weren’t authorised to do any work other than an MOT, so what was the hours labour for I asked? “For putting it up on the ramp to look everything over, check all the parts, put it back together, etc”. Emmmm is that not what an MOT fee is meant to be for? When was my Mum asked for authorisation to do anything additional? Not at all. Clearly the guy was just peed off that we were taking the work elsewhere, obviously thought with it being women that they could get away with insane prices without us questioning it. He even told me he would call the police on me when I told him I would be putting bad review on social media and warning others to be careful! So please learn from our bad experience - please be very careful when selecting a garage (definitely don’t choose this one!). As part of the terms and conditions we could take the car back here for a retest free of charge once the repairs are done, however the experience was so bad that we would rather repay the mot fee elsewhere than go anywhere near this place again.
