It was more like a place to enjoy food than the food itself. The decoration and atmosphere was gorgeous and relaxing. Had a three course set menu that comes with a glass of champagne. Somehow I think food quality matches it’s price, fair but not outstanding. However, the noteworthy ones are the little cute chip with vegetable decor on top which was served pre meal and the little earl grey scones post meal. The starter I had was said to be a “cod fish,” though I failed to find the fish in the dish. Despite the look was like a pile of unknown creamy thing put together, it tastes light in mouth. Also, the Hake I ordered for the main says “scallop” on the mean but it only comes with “scallop broth” which was a great disappointment. What’s more, it barely had any scallop flavor in it. For anyone who is interested in the beetroot sorbet for dessert, the flavor was really pungent. However, the chocolate crisps on top were amazing. Didn’t know whether it was the price that affects the food quality. To be honest, not worth the 4.7 star at its current rating.
Fabulously elegant dining room in the midst of one of London's grandest hotels. Excellent set lunch menus make it great value too, and well worth it for any sort of celebration. The food was, as you might expect, extremely good. Our three course set lunch also came with an amuse bouche and petite fours. Delicate starters but decent sized mains made it a great way to mark a birthday.
Great dining ambience and high quality service just like what I'd expect for a Michelin restaurant. We went for the 3 course set menu and my personal favourite was the pork belly for the starter, nicely cooked. The beetroot sorbet was extremely flavoursome, probably a bit too pungent for me. Finally, the sweet treats at the end of the meal after we asked for the bill were delicious! Chocolate and salted caramel ice cream sandwich and mini jam filled scone topped with cream.
Went there for a friend's birthday. Well nice service and perfect decorating for every course we have. Love the small bite with some flowers on top which tastes absolutely amazing. The dessert is an add up that I loved a loooot. Sadly they don't have any birthday special cakes with it. Overall a very pleasant journey. :
Beautiful building and interior - even the ladies toilets they have to be mentioned! : were nice - they throw you back into the chic 1920s. we had the set lunch menu including champagne - fantadtic value for food/service! all staff were extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. the food was so delicious - it was a dream!! i highly recommend to go here.
Had the set lunch here and it was amazing. Not sure why it took so long to come here - but being at the claridges does mean beautiful classy setting and the food were delicious and beautifully presented. For £45 set lunch menu with Champaign it is pretty good value for money. Great service good. Overall for 2 people, 3 courses with Champaign, wine and coffee round up to total 144 including service. Would recommend
Stunning restaurant and have eaten here many times however we had a few issues with the tasting menu on our last visit. The fish course was under-cooked, this was rectified with a freshly cooked piece of fish and a complimentary glass of wine, however being told by the waiter that they don't overcook fish was unnecessary when it was clearly under cooked. The rest of the food was amazing and the service excellent. The only other quibble was the wait for the first dessert, it took almost 30 minutes. Other than that was an amazing experience and would return probably going with the a la carte menu next time
I've been fortunate to dine several times at Fera, it's one of my favourite places. Food is creative, on point and the detail is so impressive. Everything is as it's supposed, cooking points, produce is the freshest, place is just very strong in terms of hospitality and the food is extraordinary.
One of my colleagues and I splurge for fine dining every couple of months. Recently we had the 5 course tasting menu over dinner with some major highs and lows. The snacks and first venison course were divine. The fish course was well-cooked, but nothing special. I enjoyed the first dessert, lovely presentation and light jasmine flavor. But the main dessert left a bad taste in my mouth - literally. The combination horribly dry coffee cake, an overly pungent carrot ice cream and cream was just bizarre and didn’t work in terms of textures or flavors. We were both surprised by how much we disliked the dessert. Service was lovely, a bit slow at times but at a standard befitting Claridge’s. There are so many other wonderful fine dining options in London, I don’t think I’ll be revisiting Fera for a long time.
Very nice meal here. Plating was gorgeous and food was wonderful. Came with complimentary champagne. Solid 1 Michelin star choice. However, not the easiest to find...I had difficulty locating exactly where the entrance was.
