Had an incredible roast here on Sunday. Having heard good things for a while we decided to book as we were in the area for the day, and we weren’t disappointed. Nice ambience in an old school setting. The service was great and the food faultless. We had oysters and a prawn & crayfish cocktail to start, both had the beef roast potatoes were so good! and affogato for dessert. Highly recommend got a Sunday roast.
This is my first time trying this restaurant and I must say wow what a fantastic restaurant the food is absolutely out of this world. Ribeye steak is a must with all the sides and trimmings , also sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for dessert. I would definitely recommend going to this restaurant when visiting London. Vegetarian options: They have quite a few vegetarian options, including salads Parking: There is no parking area outside of this restaurant. It’s always best to take a taxi.
What a place! The beer was great in the pub, and the food was absolutely ding dong. However, when you're having steak and kidney pie with mash potatoes, some gravy is a must. We asked multiple times for some gravy, to be told "we only do gravy on a Sunday". This took the shine off a wonderful evening of great food and drink. It was a shame
The Guinea Grill is one of the oldest 1675 and most iconic pubs in London. Steeped in history the food and drinks here tip their hat to Great British tradition- excellent steak kidney mushroom pies, plenty steak & chips options, and beef Wellington are all on offer here at their highest standard. We had the steak and mushroom pie with a side of chips and creamy spinach, it was superb. Even if you're not eating, the bar serves up one of the best pulled Guiness in London which you can pair with oysters highly recommended. The wine selection is carefully selected and vast, but be prepared to get your wallet out if you want a bottle- it ain't cheap. Plenty selections by the glass to keep costs down if need be. Or the Guiness of course. One of Londons best pubs and therefore by default one of the best pubs in the world. Long may it continue to serve the people of this city- hopefully for another 349 years!! Hear hear!
The perfect place to be for your lunches, and lovely dinners out if you want to quickly impress your guests or even business clients. Our favourite pub in Mayfair. From perfectly cooked steaks, to proper sides! Must try: Guinness, steak & oyster pie Any steak Potato gratin side Gruyère spinach side Also had a roast here before! I recommend
This is such a great restaurant for meat lovers and they have now changed the setup a bit, which felt more spacious. I've ordered a sirloin steak and it was amazing! Creamed spinach came on a salty side so may not be for everyone.Food: 5/5
In love with this brilliant pub, with top class food served here. Meats well presented in the chiller, beautiful cuts there, definitely able to find a cut that fits your palate.Food: 5/5
The Guinea Grill has long been my must go-to stop on every visit to London - for the superb Young’s Original and now Harvey’s Sussex Best and, above all , the steak, kidney, and mushroom pie the excellent and reasonably priced wine cellar is also a draw. I was disappointed to see the new incarnation of the pies: smaller and without their unique ruffle crown - but the texture and taste are still unsurpassed and theres plenty if substance. I was amazed to learn that the sticky toffee pudding contains more than 1200 kcals! Lastly, the Young’s is inexplicably served at well below cellar temperature; impossibly cold to properly finish a cask beer. Please fix this, cellarperson!
A real hidden gem find , lovely atmosphere , amazing pies & vegetables with super West Coast Ireland Oysters to start. Lovely service from Caitlyn and all the team. Thank you. Tim. & KatieFood: 5/5
We both went for the Sunday roast and found the food to be nice however the gravy was basically brown water. We asked it to be made thicker and when it returned it was not much different. The cut of the beef would not have been my choice to put on the menu but that’s my preference. The Guinness however was superb and the staff were lovely and attentive
