My sister in law has a caravan here and it's very posh so would call it glamping!! I only visited for a couple of hours so didn't see much. From what I saw, the site was clean and tidy and well kept and she did tell us that there is swimming and bingo on site. Also the beach is a very short walk away as well as Lidl for shopping which is a stones throw away. There is parking outside the caravans that is enough for two cars but not sure about other parking for any further vehicles. The town centre is ok and probably has enough shops for what you would need unless you want stores like Next, New Look, River Island, M&S or big supermarkets, in which case, you better go elsewhere. Fun to be had for kids on the Pier and nice to watch the ships come in and out at Landguard Fort and watch them at the dock.
Great stay for family of 9 in two Platinum caravans. Site/caravans was clean. Friendly staff & the park warden was very helpful locating my lost property.nEvening entertainment was good Bingo & Quiz the host was very engaging and welcoming. Courtesy call after we arrived checking all was well. Small park for kids to play. For a small caravan park you have all the basics; but it’s a very short walk to the beach front where you have amusements, eateries & bars. Would recommend & book again!
The amenities are top notch. Problem with their internet that was very frustrating. Where we stayed was of a good quality. Unfortunately the cleaning regime was extremely poor. Reported to the site and was not actioned/followed up.Extremely disappointed with the management. Will have to consider my options next year.update,after my complaint by email to the company. In which I made it known that I was not happy with the response of the member of their staff taking my complaint. Their management seemed to think it was acceptable to get the person I complained about to call me out of the blue. To say I was taken aback would be an understatement. On finishing the call I emailed the company and told them never ever contact me again Disgraceful behaviour.
Do not EVER buy a caravan on this site. Stayed with my other half last week and they was moving one to a pitch, they hit two caravans with the one they was moving, so if you've recently brought a new caravan there check it very carefully for damage. Next day they moved another one and the language coming out of a young lad tallish with dark hair was disgusting. Staff looked at you like you was a peice of poo, glared at you, site wasn't the cleanest, avoid at all costs
It's lovely to come for a holiday, has swimming pool, play park, bar, entertainment and small arcades, small expensive shop. Close walking distance to shops and beach and local amenities. Food is a little pricey however looks and tastes good.
