I trust good Google reviews. But not very sure on this one. I love my food and not really bothered if it takes a leap year to arrive or if the service poor or if it’s hideously expensive. All I look for is that the food needs to be on point or rather delicious. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case here. Non of the dishes or drinks I ordered was memorable, special or tasty. Only 3 waiters so the timing was some what at a leisured pace. And for what I consumed to what I paid was pretty disappointing as well. The chicken is halal there, may that’s a positive…
Average burger, bad hand cut fries cold when the time it arrived. And it was very very slow. Took them almost a full hour to cook the burger. Imho, this is not acceptable even for a fine dining, let alone burger restaurant. On the bright side, The tater tots were very tasty and perfectly fried, will give them that. And the service is great.
I was seen to quickly and was given a table even as a solo eater. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The menu is very varied despite all being burgers, it was so hard to choose! I went for a vegetarian Harlem Fake burger because of the chipotle mayo. I was told about a half hour wait on food, but it arrived quicker than this which was nice. It came with a very generous portion of hand cut fries, which were delicious by themselves although I did use them to mop up the chipotle mayo from my burger. The burger itself was huge, I ended up having to eat with a knife and fork for the most part. It had great textures, but unfortunately not the flavours I was expecting. The mayo had no heat to it, the southern fried vegan chicken was tasty but I feel like it was trying to do too much so flavours got lost a little, I couldn't taste any cheese on it for example. After my burger I ordered a PB&Jack shake from the friendly staff and it was amazing - I could taste the Jack Daniels throughout and got a hit of sweet peanut butter at the right times. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the amount of food, and I definitely want to come back to try their other burgers and for another delicious shake.
Nice food , although on the day we visited , there was no beef for the beef burgers . So everything was chicken based. Still very nice food . Don't bother getting a strawberry milkshake , it's nothing special.
The food was amazing! The service was alright... We were a bit annoyed that we asked for our check, we waited another 10-15 minutes and had to flag them down again. I wouldn't have been annoyed normally but they were just standing there talking.
Service was friendly, quick and polite. Food was amazing and portion size is very good for the price. I got the PB&J burger, fried pickles and dirty waffle fries. Everything was cooked brilliantly. The fried pickles are definitely a new favourite of mine.
Fat Hippo has been on my places to go since it opened- last night we went and wow it didn't disappoint. The burgers where juicy,bacon tasted amazing. The burger had so much taste to it and great balance of sauces. My partner had 'the big jerk' and absolutely enjoyed it. Drink selection is really good too. Especially the 'Berry smash' alcohol slush. Highly recommended - professional staff, chilled atmosphere.
Best burger ever! I went here last july during a trip from London, I won't lie by telling this place contributed in having a wonderful experience that eventually brought me to live here. Fat, fat but delicious burgers!
Amazing looking food and very tasty. Overall an good experience but failed to turn down the music after being mentioned a few times to do so for our table with sensory issues to loud noises being autistic, and at times the manager talking to the waitresses and obviously talking about our group kept looking over to our group making us uncomfortable. There were two waitress though, one who took our order and another who took our payment who were lovely.
Poor customer service we had a table of 4 booked and simply asked to be seated in a booth we were told no as they were fully booked and we best be ready to leave within our reservation slot. No pressure! We ate and left and still both booths we has asked were still empty and staff just basically said oh tough. 2 of us got he Freddie krugger burger with a side of onion rings and OMG I've never seen so much grease it was vile. We only tried here because of the good reviews but no way we will be be returning.
