Accommodated my large group last minute, staff was super friendly, took our orders quickly, and the drinks were great. Let us take up the couch and standing room in the back. Was perfect spot for barhopping on my birthday, and was fun to be able to take my out of town friends to a speakeasy. They gave me an extra drink since it was my birthday too! Thank you so much for having us! Will be back and will be recommending!
It was a great space with an awesome atmosphere that was both cozy and intimate. The hidden door direct really helped make it a vibe and an experience as a first timer plus the staff was very respectful and attentive which was awesome. I would definitely recommend as a good pregame spot, small friends night out, or even a date night for those looking for a cozy spot to get a drink and dance a bit
The fat Buddha cocktail was the best cocktail I’ve ever had. The food was so yummy and our waitress was lovely. It’s a little hard to find because it’s behind a cafe.
Great bar with solid food. The wings here are really delicious. Staff isn’t the friendliest but the music makes up for it. Decent happy hour specials and conveniently located on 14th Street and Avenue A. It usually gets busy later in the evening. Try the Buddha Beer. The Passionrita is also real nice.
Satisfactory place. I went for the happy hour. The sliders was what I ordered and they were tasty. I also ordered the lychee martini. They were quaint and ok. For 6 not bad. Couldn't imagine ordering them outside of happy hour. No way. One was made horribly and super weak and one was made really well. Two were okay. It being happy hour made this whole thing passable. Service was cool and the food was tasty. I would return tho.
Cozy spot, good music. I wished they made this general cho dish with white meat. Drinks are strong The incense they use is,,, intoxicating. lol I caught a set from Maseo from De La soul. A mixed genre set. The Female bartenders were helpful. The dude with beard wasn't. That's kool. I'm into ladies helping me anyway.
Only stopped in for a few drinks. Hip-hop heavy playlist, but enjoyably so. Very quiet on a Wednesday during happy hour. Not the cheapest happy hour around, but glasses were clean and the place did not smell like bar cleaner. FTW! I will definitely come back and try the food.
Oh fat budda. I've been coming here for years. Its my to-go local bar. They serve great food before 10pm and its not your typical bar food. Its good korean/fusion type food. Go early for food and happy hour. If you dont like a large crowd i would not recommend going on a thurs-sat late night. Also they have a cover on fri-sat after a certain time. I love the staff here. Theyre all friendly. The music is also good.
In the back of the bar there's a Buddha covered in glam, which is incredibly offensive to the religion of buddhism. Buddha should never be used as a bar decoration $10 cover for guys, $5 for girls. The bar is a dance floor that's uncomfortably packed with underaged NYU students. I'd recommend avoiding this bar given the multiple choice around.
One of NYC's best bars. Great for and drinks... cool spot
