Really nice food! Well cooked and seasoned. I have never tried medium rare pork. It was so nice. You cannot tell it is pork.
Visited this place on a Saturday night, we were two couples. The food is nice, I cannot say a bad word about it, it would not be fair to the chefcongratulations, the veal was amazing!. However, the service was lacking, mainly because I found something in my glass of wine and when I asked a member of the staff she replied "that's how the wine is, maybe you don't know about it because you don't drink a lot of red wine". To clarify : I have done my fair share of traveling, including 9 years I've spent in Italy and I do enjoy the occasional bottle of red wine, so I was not asking just to be difficultalso, out of all the people at our table, who had ordered the same type of wine, I was the only one with what appeared to be impurities in his glass. To sum it up, the food is nice, but don't expect great customer service.
Not our first visit and always a delight. Good service, great food and wonderful ambience.
A fantastic restaurant with great atmosphere, fantastic food and a great choice of wines and beers. The staff are friendly and very amenable to most requests. They accept walk-ins as well as advance reservations; service is always very friendly and quick... The staff are always happy to make recommendations. Ideal for business meetings or taking someone special...
I've been here so many times and it's always been a pleasure. The food is delicious and quite authentic, according to some of my friends who are familiar with the Spanish culture. There restaurants has lots to offer in terms of interior design and food quality - both on a very high level. The place is always packed for the dinner hours so make sure to make a reservation.
What happened?? This used to be a great restaurant but post-refurb it has gone downhill. Staff whilst pleasant were clueless especially about gluten free. Food was decent but not amazing. The new open plan layout isn't as good as the more intimate surroundings which were there previously. Might try again once it has settled down but it's not a cheap night out to experiment with.
We have been coming here for over 10 years. I have always thought it was one of the best restaurants in London. The restaurant has been closed for refurbishment recently so we were excited when it reopened. When we sat down at the bar to order tapas, the barman told us that the restaurant had been bought by VICE magazine. VICE are good at cutting edge journalism. They are not very good at cooking. The squid we ordered was frozen rather than fresh, unseasoned and served with raw onion - practically inedible. The bread with tomato and garlic came in deconstructed form and was disappointing. The food is nowhere near as good as it was which is a real shame given how good it used to be.
We called at 640 PM on a Saturday night and asked if it would be possible to get a table at 7 for two. We were told no, but we could try getting a seat at the bar which I actually prefer anyway. Turns out they don't open until 7 and we easily got a seat at the bar and the restaurant was empty. We filled up on tapas which was mediocre. An hour later at 8 o'clock the restaurant was still empty. Weird. Food was quite mediocre, but wine list is pretty good.
A regular dining spot for me. Iberian food at it's best, with a great selection of wines as well. Simple, good food. I tend to go for the Iberico pig and the pimientos to start. The restaurant has a great layout and is great for both lunch or dinner.
Went on the week of Eyre Brothers just reopening after having a revamp. Been going here for 7 years and always been a big fan. New decor not too atmospheric with unfinished lighting, but we were still excited to be back. Following a convo with our waiter we found out the restaurant had been bought by Vice. We didn’t think much of it, still very much thinking that the food would still be just as great. We were wrong! So dissappointing. We had - - Tomato bread - it came in deconstructed form with garlic on the side and a pot of tomatoes. This wouldn’t have been a problem had there been enough tomatoes, and that the bread were toasted enough for the garlic to spread over the bread when you rubbed it. However the garlic stayed pretty much whole, and I had to ask for more tomatoes. - Grilled squid - Badly cooked frozen squid on a salad of uncooked spinach, with whole halves of mini uncooked onions, aioli didn’t taste fresh - Goats cheese with figs - does what it says on the tin, not an amazing goats cheese and also came with no dressing - Deep fried courgettes with mint - probably the best thing we had. Not usually down for deep fried but this was simple and a saving grace We’d ordered 2 dishes each with a plan to order more. Instead, we paid up and got out of there ASAP. Really hope this is just teething problems.....
