Bar Douro

We came to Bar Douro for a late evening meal, sat on the bar which was really nice and you get to see the chefs cooking everything. The food was so tasty, you can see they put a lot of effort into it. The service was also amazing, really attentive but not over the top! Highly recommend the garlic prawns and sardines on Sourdough.

Love this place! We sat outside but heated and under cover. The food was all delicious - it is a little pricey but a nice treat. We ordered lots of dishes and wine to share and it came in under what I was expecting, and the service was great.

Easy booking via open table, arrived at the booked time and greeted with smiles and charm. A range of sensible COVID precautions and well spaced seating. Food to die for, good strong red wines and with counter seating you can watch YOUR food being prepared in front of your eyes. A hidden gem of the London restaurant scene.

The ambience is great with The Shard as a backdrop. The servings are tapas sized and overall the food was pretty good though not particularly extraordinary. On the expensive side for what it is.

Last April/2019 visiting London with my son we stopped here for a late lunch meal in UK. Great food prepared in front of us, fresh and tasteful. Decent wine selection. Food plates are small.

Superb restaurant and lovely service. Authentic Portuguese food, which is simply excellent.
