Exeter Picturehouse
"The Exeter Picturehouse cinema shows mainstream, foreign language, family, and classic films, and live screening events PLUS a Cafe/Bar overlooking the river, serving coffee, wine, ales, and fresh pizza Opening in 1996, the cinema sits within the Exeter city walls on the site of a 1930s bus garage.During exploration prior to redevelopment, the ground was found to contain Roman artefacts.Architects Burrell Foley Fischer designed a stylish, modern cinema in sympathy with its historic Exeter location, and which had to take into account its position on a steep hill. The light and airy first-floor café-bar offers sweeping views over the Devonshire countryside."

A good cinema, with a good and varied programme of options to entertain. There is a bar with light food options on the first floor with level access from the car-park. Cinema screens are accessible from the street level. Both levels are linked by internal stairs, but there is no lift.
A firm favourite when looking to watch either the newest blockbuster or a less well known art house film. Grab a glass of something cold and choose either a comfy single seat or even a sofa.
Super cinema, comfortable seats. Good little cafe serving pizza, hot drinks and alcohol beverages.
Friendly staff, good coffee and nibbles. Great to support independent Film venues, too
Great little cinema. Good bar. Pizzas and snacks. Friendly staff.
Went on a warm Sunday, nice and cool inside. Watched Brian and Charles on a comfy sofa. Staff super friendly even dealing perfectly with a small fault with the screen curtain. Please support independent cinema.
Lovely little cinema, with a great bar and cafe upstairs, serving delicious pizzas in a cosy informal atmosphere. Even though there are only 3 types of pizza on the menu, they are definitely some of the best in Exeter, plus they have Estrella on tap.... enough said!
I've seen two movies here so far and have had good experiences both times. They have comfortable seating in the theatre that leans back. You can get wine, beer, coffee, food, snacks, etc., upstairs and wait for your movie very comfortably if you want. They also have drinks and some snacks at the front where you buy your tickets. Always received good customer service here too.
Myself and a friend went for a catch up here to try somewhere a bit different that wasn't a bar! The staff were excellent and super helpful.
Lovely comfortable seating with a luxury feel to the cinema
