"When we first came to the village of Everceech, the chip shop was trading under the name of The Golden Pan and had first started frying way back in the 1940s! Martin was in the forces, so we were always on the move, never staying longer than a couple of years in 1 place, before we came to Evercreech we had moved 9 times over our 13 years of marriage. Evercreech has certainly won us over as we have been trading as Evercreech Plaice for over 20 years !!! We have a very varied menu and as we are the only take away in the village we hope we have something to suit all tastes, everything is cooked fresh to order."

When we visited they were still operating the doorway serving hatch and, although you can still order over the phone, they were also taking orders at the door now too. Great food, large portions. What's not to like?
Excellent service, fantastic menu
Me spam fritter pea fritter and chips absolutely stunning the best pea fritter I had for a long time. He had minced beef and onions pie and chips absolutely stunning very full of meat and veg favour dancing on tongue. Chips very nice crisp but soft centred. Will definitely recommend.
Lovely little chippy, lots on the menu to choose from, I had homemade fish cake and chips and it was delicious!

Fantastic so pleased to see you get your portion of chips just right, never had to throw any away , lemon was lovely on fish,and your confidence when I phoned my order through was excellent you never asked for a name , I never saw my sister eat with so much pleasure before. Quite possibly the best cod and chips we have ever had. Lovely friendly couple who run the plaice.
Fish and chips for four of us last evening. Just perfect. Wonderful fish so white and no skin under the batter. Very reliable quality.
This may be the only take away in Evercreech, but that doesn't stop it being superb. Specialising in fish & chips, but worth a really wide range of other foods, you won't be disappointed. Keep an eye on the part-time hours though.
