I purchased a 2021 BMW 530e from Evans Halshaw Ford Walsall. Overall, I was happy with the purchase initially, but later discovered corrosion on the inside of the offside rear door/rear quarter area.nAfter having the vehicle inspected by an independent bodyshop, I was advised that the corrosion appeared to be associated with a previous repair that had failed. More recently, during a service and MOT at another Evans Halshaw dealership, the bodywork was looked at and I was told that the paint thickness was visibly inconsistent, indicating previous paintwork. I was also advised that it should be repaired properly by a bodyshop rather than simply touched up, particularly because I live near the coast where corrosion can worsen.nI appreciate that Evans Halshaw states they did not carry out any previous repairs themselves, and I cannot say who did. My disappointment is not that the car had previous paintwork, as used cars often do. My disappointment is with the way my concerns were handled once evidence of a failed previous repair emerged.nI contacted the selling dealership, provided photographs and an independent quotation, and simply asked whether they would inspect the vehicle and consider a goodwill contribution if their own inspection supported the findings. I was ultimately told that because time had passed since purchase and the vehicle had covered significant mileage, Evans Halshaw would not accept responsibility or contribute towards the repair.nThe attached photographs show the same area. The first is taken from the original sales video, where the paint finish appears noticeably different from the surrounding panel. The second and third show the corrosion that later developed in that same location.nI'm now paying to have the repair carried out myself. My disappointment is not with the need to repair a used car, but with the lack of goodwill and customer support when a previously repaired area appears to have failed. I hope this feedback encourages Evans Halshaw to take a more customer-focused approach in similar situations, and customers to thoroughly inspect vehicles before purchase.

I found the Mustang GT of my choice on Autotrader and called the dealership - Evans Halshaw Walsall straight away.nGraham Lowe was my first and only contact.nFrom the moment we spoke Graham was thorough and professional, handling my questions efficiently & with courtesy.nOnce a deal was struck, we agreed on a time that I would arrive at the dealership to part exchange my Ford Puma against purchase of Ford Mustang GT.nWe were greeted warmly by Graham on arrival, and Graham was very helpful in the sale, guiding me through taxation of the new vehicle, and explaining thoroughly additional add ons.nThe ambience in the dealership was warmn& inviting, and Graham was kind & considerate, and a truly professional salesman.nThe whole experience was 5 star, and I would very much recommend buying from Evans Halshaw, and more importantly Graham Lowe.
I have been looked after very professionally by a nice gentleman Theo, from start to finish whole process was done transparently and smoothly. I felt supported and Theo did everything he could to address my concerns. The car was in a spot on condition and the price was reasonable too. The finance part was done in a very nice manner. I am happy and satisfied, will come back for my next purchase
i have had nothing but issues with this place since i bought my dacia duster back in september 2025, first of all i contacted a guy called harry who never answered the phone as few days of having car it was struggling to start after getting it diagnosed at another garage they said they needed to change glow plugs so i went over nad they were denying they were at fault or liable trying to get out of warrenty until i showed them proof that i had tried to contact them numerous times. They eventually did the work and thought that was the end of the problem. I found the back doors weren't lined up properly, and the door still catches, even though I told them to look at it. A few weeks later, I took it mot and it failed on a rubber doughnut on the propshaft again. This has been split a lot longer than I had the car, and Evans Halshaw never noticed... makes me laugh when they lied that they check the cars from top to bottom. The driver's tyre was on its limit, even though I had only had the car for 4 months, they were trying to tell me I only had 3 months' warranty, and I was lucky to get £150 out of them for the labour and part, but wouldn't refund on the tyre. My recent issue, even though it's been 7 months since I had it, I took it to the garage near me, which told me all the undertray was loose under the sump, and that Evans Halshaw hadn't tightened them after doing an oil change. I recommend that you avoid this place like the plague, as they will rip you off and worm out of any work or any compensation. I seriously feel like I have been conned. I will never recommend them or ever have another car from them, as the service is poor and shocking. I hope they get shut down; they don't deserve to be in business. If you decide to buy a car, get it checked out, as once they have your money, they don't want to know.
